What I'm saying is that the quote doesn't apply universally to everything one could call childish.

If you said "I still shit my pants and that's ok, it's not childish" no one would back you up and say that's an acceptable behavior for adults to engage in.

(Actually, there is an entire community online that would, but that is beside the point)

Mankind was created to find certain things acceptable to children and off-putting in adults. I believe that this is one of them, even if the wider community does not. I would not seek to partner myself with a man who's life is characterized by an addiction to an un-challenging game system.

There is a difference between fantastical content that CS Lewis was referring to and the infantilizing pandering of Nintendo.

CS Lewis was speaking of literature like Grimms fairy tales, JRR Tolkien's Lord of the Rings ( though, maybe not specifically. I'm not sure the time table on the quote), or Charles Dickens works. Things that are not immediately beneficial to a man's pursuits but otherwise wholesome.

Ninetendo puts out mind-numbing, easy-to-digest distractions. They are full of colorful lights and pretty pictures and assurances that "You're great! You win!"

They are not even close to being comparable. Add on top of that, if you told CS Lewis you were spending a weeks wages on the same childish material you already owned because they made the colors brighter and the game play easier, I'm sure he would have a different quote for you.

That's the heart of the association right there. A grown ass man that's into children's entertainment has something wrong with him.

Only far-right nazis believe anymore.

Those of us on the right side of history KNOW what the truth is, no belief required...

It's really sickening to learn that no matter how careful you are not supporting big tech, your money gets funneled to them anyway whether you like it or not.

Christians are the most brutally oppressed religious group in the world. Yet, claiming discrimination against Christians is like trying to claim racism against white people.

It's amazing how defensive everyone gets when you call them to account for upholding a tyrannical system. "Sure, we would stop wearing the mask, but we are worried about our jobs and retail access."

You think those who fight tyranny don't have to sacrifice? And here you are balking at potentially having to sacrifice.

"Everyone hates them and just wears them to get along." Really? Than everyone can stop without fear of repercussions. Work at Walmart? You think Walmart can operate without 90% of their minimum wage work force? If everyone agrees it's shot, then everyone do something.

If your political action ends at whinging online, then you are no better than the NPC crowd.

Just imagine if this was the other way around! We would never hear the end of it 24/7! There would be protests and riots and demonstrations and fundraisers.

Don't do anything about it, though. Just imagine. And the next time a conservative/white/Christian is targeted or has the rules unevenly applied to them, just imagine....

Thanks for the detailed response. You are the second person in one day that I had heard mention they expected a Biden victory so I was wondering if I missed big news on something.

Doesn't actually provide anything of actual value but lives parasiticly off of productive workers.

Nah, you still have the option to homeschool. If anything, parents are more free now to homeschool with working from home or not working at all due to covid.

The thing that makes it obvious is that on any given YouTube video, total likes/dislike equal roughly 9-12% of the views.

This video is sitting at ~2.4% like/dislikes to views at the time of this post. This is an awfully controversial video to not have at least the standard amount of engagement.

It literally hurts my head to think about how our lives are being upended by a virus that has a 99.95% survivability rate.

Get some cash, buy a prepaid visa. Use the prepaid visa purchase and set up a prepaid cellphone(if required, some prepaids don't make you type in CC info.) Walmart's dumbphones/plans are pretty cheap. So is net10.

Activate your burner on public wifi and set your address to a random residence in the area that you will mostly be using it.

Pull the battery when your phone is not in use unless you are expecting inbound calls. Store in an old microwave for bonus tinfoil hat points.

I'll admit it's probably not the most secure way of going about things, but you asked hownI would do it, not the most bulletproof way.

I've had a burner for a couple of years now that actually got activated when people started discussing the possibility of using phone tracking for covid.

Now, I am a model citizen that sits at home all day and keeps quiet. See, you can even check my location history...

If it had happened today:

"19 Saudi nationals die when white pilot lost control of the plane"

Possibly with the subtitle "and that's a good thing"

Seriously, politians should be held to account over their fail policies. Instead, they have voted to grant themselves immunity. How is that not the biggest joke ever? They make calls on what they think will help their poll numbers and end up negatively affecting millions of people.

And if tougher crackdowns on failed policies means less people will go into politics, GOODA
