That one actually is decent, but animation back then was so different it is impossible to compare to the current industry.

The Soviet Union made the most bizarre version.

Animated versions of any classics just make them worse. The animation industry is not interested in respecting anything, just changing it.

Burlington middle school students reportedly tore down Pride banners, chanted "U.S.A. are my pronouns," and glared down students and teachers supporting Pride.

They GLARED! Is this new the Sandmann?

According to a letter to parents from Marshall Simonds Middle School Principal Cari Purchase, the incident took place during a school-approved spirit day celebrating Pride month on Friday, June 2. The spirit day was requested and sponsored by Spectrum Club — a student group for LGBTQ+ students and allies.

This is the gayest paragraph I've ever read.

As part of the event, the letter said, Spectrum Club decorated the school with handmade “Happy Pride Month” signs and educational posters with messages such as “Why it’s not ok to say ‘That’s so gay’.” The club members also put up rainbow streamers and Pride flag banners, handed out rainbow stickers, and invited students and faculty to wear rainbow clothing.

That's so gay.

But throughout the day, some students showed their disdain for the event in a number of ways. The letter said students were seen “being inappropriate” with the stickers and tearing down the banners and signs.

Other students tried to intimidate faculty and students showing support for Pride through glares, chanted “U.S.A. are my pronouns” in the halls, and wore red, white, and blue clothes with face paint in protest of the event, the letter said.

Based.

“I fully respect that our diverse community has diverse opinions and beliefs. I also respect individuals’ right to express their opinions through clothing choices and freedom of speech,” she wrote. “When one individual or group of individuals’ beliefs and actions result in the demeaning of another individual or group, it is completely unacceptable.”

Bahahahahahaha.

To help remedy the situation, Purchase said the school designated a meeting time during which students could express their concerns to administrators and created an anonymous form for students to report specific hateful incidents. She also said the school would look into providing a program that would teach students tolerance, acceptance, and respect.

Doubling down.

but boycotts almost never extend to that level of abstraction and they're truly under no threat.

Who said anything about a boycott? The people who fund these companies are notoriously risk adverse. They do NOT want to be dragged into this shit, they just want profit.

No boycotts are necessary, if they get flooded with negative responses they pull the funding. It is much, much easier to convince investors that they've made a bad investment then try to un-brainwash a woke person.

"This behavior is inappropriate and disrespectful for any event at the White House. It is not reflective of the event we hosted to celebrate LGBTQI+ families or the other hundreds of guests who were in attendance. Individuals in the video will not be invited to future events," the statement read.

Montoya also captured an interaction with Biden himself in the video. The influencer smiles next to the President and says, "It's an honor, Mr. President. Trans rights are human rights."

Biden is then seen holding the camera in an attempt to take a selfie with Montoya and other attendees, but the camera was set to video mode.

This made me laugh.

Seriously though fucking over children = not a problem, showing your tits = ban? Who the fuck is making these decisions?

You are close, but you missed the better solution.

Instead of 'going above the heads' of the grunts the proper way to deal with this is to go after the people FUNDING the companies.

They all have partners, advertisers, sponsors, etc. If you want to make real change you have to strangle their funding.

Once you cut off the cash flow that is the ONLY way these companies will ever institute change. You are aiming at the wrong target.

most palenstinians were evicted from Israel

You have it 100% backwards. Palestinians are historically a nomadic group and they were driven out of every single country in the Middle East with violence.

Israel was the only people who didn't murder them on site, which is why they stopped being nomads. They have no rightful land.

Correct. It is like calling yourself a Gypsy in Europe, nobody born outside of Palestine ever refers to themselves as 'Palestinian'.

The Middle East considers Palestinians to be subhuman.

I'm mainly posting this because I have never, ever heard someone in the Middle East voluntarily declare themselves Palestinian.

The school’s student paper notes that while Abulaban “identifies as a Palestinian woman,” she was actually born in Jordan where she and her family emigrated from.

This is such bizarre shit. Like an American deciding they are Mexican. An incredible victim complex is needed to change your own nationality.

We welcome the opportunity to present our case in federal court. We believe accelerating the legal process in the U.S. will ultimately bring more choice and competition to the market.

Hahahahahahahahahaha. Yeah, sure Brad. That's EXACTLY what will happen with this merger, more choice and more competition.

How dumb do they think we are?

Yeah it is so simple to abuse basic methodology and terminology to get a result that you plan for.

Frankly I don't trust a single poll nowadays.

You may be right but who has the capital to stand up to a prolonged case from Amazon lawyers?

43
TerpenoidTester 43 points ago +43 / -0

They already began that, notice how they are removing gas appliances from your kitchen and forcing cars to have the chips inside?

This process has been ongoing for years now.

At minimum your Amazon account, if you have music or books stored on it they can lock you out simply because the delivery driver said so.

36
TerpenoidTester 36 points ago +36 / -0

This was triggered by the Amazon delivery driver actually, who 'misheard' or lied about what happened. Even if you have no smart devices this could happen to you and Amazon can lock you out immediately.

21
TerpenoidTester 21 points ago +21 / -0

According to the TOS when you set up those smart devices you agree to waive the right of use if Amazon determines it. A lawsuit would be a waste of money.

This guys 'smart home' locked him out of everything because of racist comments heard by the doorbell.

An Amazon executive actually emailed him and demanded they call Amazon to resolve this. It is a crazy story, but anyone who allows these smart devices into their house is an absolute moron.

Big Brother is watching and listening.

Yeah I wasn't sure how many people knew I-95 is such a major road but this is a big deal.

A portion of the northbound lanes on Interstate-95 (I-95) collapsed early Sunday morning following an explosion caused by a burning tanker truck, Philadelphia city officials announced.

The tanker truck reportedly caught fire underneath the I-95 overpass in a shocking incident that led to a portion of the busy highway crumbling. No fatalities or injuries have been reported.

“All lanes of I95 closed in both directions between Woodhaven and Aramingo exits due to fire/road collapse. Other streets closed for the response. Avoid area. Plan and seek alternative travel routes,” said Philadelphia Office of Emergency Management.
