I'm pretty sure successfully training a Padawan to one of the other ranks (Knight, and then potentially on to Consular, Guardian, or Sentinel if they're specializing) used to be a requirement for the rank of Master, but don't quote me on that.

But of course. I just figured that it was worth mentioning that the Latino/Mexican population hate woke bullshit just as much as the rest of us. They were the first ones to tell SJWs to STFU when it came to the calls for censorship of Mario's sombrero and they took the cartoon networks to task for trying to censor Speedy Gonzales. I'm thankful they're protective of their culture, even as ours here in the US is being eroded.

Most Latinos and Latinas pronounce it as "fuck off with that mierda", because they think it's just as stupid to try to de-gender a language as we do.

There’s a dark mirror version of me that’s been created by the fringe right, completely untethered from reality.

Projecting so much, dude needs to bring a VGA cable to connect to the thing. There is no "dark mirror" version of John Walker Flynt. He brought all of this on himself, though his own narcissism and insanity, There is full proof of this, in his own words, his own tweets, and his own actions.

Anyone got a copy of that PatriArchie comic strip where the stereotypically fat, danger-haired SJW wymxn blames everything on GamerGate? Because this is that, to a fucking T.

Rent. Fucking. Free. For years now.

Sadly, during that early time frame, reviews were just as bought-and-paid (if not more so) as what we saw with the Dorito Pope. We were just naive enough to not recognize the level of payola and palm-greasing that was going on behind the scenes, what with press junkets for reviews and all the free swag the "reviewers" would score. At least we had a wide swath of review options in the different magazines, so there might be a chance that one of them didn't get paid off when a game was a stinking pile and we'd get a legit review.

Bears mentioning that this is not my content, and I am not affiliated with Scrivonaut. I just really enjoy the podcast he and his wife put together, and feel that they deserve a little more advertisement than just a blurb over on Reddit.

I don't know how popular he is on twitter, I'd bet he's popular at conventions though and so people keep giving him work thinking it's a good litmus

He's been around for an age before he went woke, so his Twitter predates his descent. Dude was well known for not only his indie flicks and general geek fandom, but also his podcasts. "Fat Man on Batman" was probably his best known one, where he and his guests waxed both poetic and nostalgic on Batman fandom. It's safe to say that DC gave him the gig as both a favor and as a stunt-casting thing for the series, to boost sales and interest. The artist on both The Widening Gyre and Batman: Cacophony (an earlier mini-series from 2008) was his buddy Walt Flanagan, so it's pretty obvious that the whole thing was based on someone knowing someone.

I'd liken his rise in geekdom to that of Wil Wheaton. Much like Wil, he ingratiated himself into geek circles and was well-liked, if not beloved, by the geek community before he made his face-heel turn. Now that he's made his inroads, he feels like he is bulletproof (and partially so because he'll be propped up by his SJW buddies in the media) so he can sling whatever BS he wants to the public.

Didn't Kevin Smith write a comic about Batman pissing himself or something?

Yep. Batman: The Widening Gyre #6, 2009. It was supposed to be a 12-issue series but they only got through six before it got canned. In the issue Batman admits to a new hero, Baphomet, that during his first attempt at using an explosive charge to try and intimidate a batch of criminals, he underestimated the force of the charge and when it went off he had a "bladder spasm".

Needless to say, that was the last issue of the series that got published.

I'd call it a combination of popping out a daughter and not going for more kids, and him having a grabber that could have killed him. When he went full-vegan in 2018 to get his health under control he went full-woke at the same time. Shortly before that (circa 2014) he started pushing more roles out there in his flicks for his daughter - who is also insufferably woke. I have to wonder if the wokeness in the family stemmed from her mom's influence (journalist, actress, vegetarian), or if it was just a product of growing up rich and privileged in the Hollyweird Hills.

TechParadox 18 points ago +18 / -0

While I'm usually a fan of the aphorism "never ascribe to malice that which can be explained by stupidity", the level of stupidity that the wokies tend to exhibit in situations like these seems to point to them trying to pull the wool over the fans' eyes while using the excuse of playing dumb or only telling half-truths. This isn't the first time we've seen them try to pull this shit, and in the grand scheme of things it falls under the category of "once is an accident, twice is coincidence, three times is enemy action."

I think they knew well in advance if they let everyone know that it was all about Teela (and Adam was straight-up DEAD), they wouldn't be able to sucker in the existing fandom views. As such, they had to lie about it if they wanted to drag in views, and once the person had viewed the first episode it wouldn't matter because it's all about that count on the premiere episode.

I think you're on to something with them having a visceral reaction to the outrage of fans of existing properties. It's like they're sitting behind their keyboards, furiously jerking off as they read the comments and see the videos of fans decrying their actions. The wokies really don't care about profit if their actions manage to destroy or subvert an existing institution or property, because once they drive the fans away it becomes theirs to grind into the dirt.

The Duluth model fucks men over harder than anything when it comes to domestic accusations. It's comparable to CRT, but in its case it's "male guilt is a given, men are always the aggressors, protect the women and children at all costs". Even if the dude is the one with defensive wounds on his body, he'll be the one slapped in cuffs and jammed in the back of the squad car when the cops show up, because cops are trained to follow Duluth.

IPAs brings up another point that comes to mind. I enjoy the occasional IPA (I'm more of a malt man, myself), and the obsession with cramming more and more hops into a brew has always baffled me. I mean, I get the enjoyment of the crispness and bitterness of hops, but triple or more the usual amount of a standard IPA? It makes my mouth pucker just thinking about it.

Craft brewing has been pozzed as fuck for a long while now. I'd have to dig back through my alt account's comments on reddit to find it, but there was a story that cropped up a couple years ago where a well-established microbrewery that produced their own recipes was basically denied entry into a contest because their label and name for one of their brews was deemed "offensive" by the judging panel. If memory serves me, it had something to to do with a play on the beer being a blonde ale, and the label had a cartoon image of a well-endowed woman. Because the snowflakes on the panel got their fee-fees hurt, they banned ALL of the brewery's beers from being entered into ANY of that area's competitions.

It doesn't help the craft brewing field that a HUGE amount of people who are into it are fart-sniffing, overly-pretentious, SJW asshats that, as they usually do, expect everyone else in the field they're entering to change to accommodate them, rather than them learning the way things work among that group.

Solution: Stop frequenting brewpubs that exhibit wokeness. Stop buying microbrews that come from woke companies. Start brewing your own, and gatekeep the entryists out.

ah, crap, I dropped a word there. Should have read "it isn't the people not wanting the girls to lop off their boobs".

TechParadox 14 points ago +14 / -0

Remember the days when a tomboy girl could just be a tomboy girl until she decided she was either a lesbian or straight? Pepperidge Farm remembers.

Now you get all of these speakers trying to convince them that they're really trans and that they need to start jamming hormones in their bodies so they can start transitioning. Who is really doing more harm here? Hint: It isn't the people not wanting the girls to lop off their boobs.

EDIT: accidentally dropped a word

The part that slays me about that is they claim "PTSD", which, in my mind, cheapens the shit out of what people like actual war veterans and real trauma victims experience. Being spooked because you were in a building that a bunch of morons decided to storm because they didn't agree with the election results, in my mind, doesn't count.

8
TechParadox 8 points ago +8 / -0

Guaran-fucking-tee you that the left will try to spin this as someone planing a small explosive device on the mural and blowing it apart, using the storm for cover, regardless of the evidence to the contrary.

6
TechParadox 6 points ago +6 / -0

Most of the useful idiots that the left uses are too scared of their own shadow when confronted as an individual. They claim they get PTSD if they are even around a weapon. It's only when they get up to anonymized mob violence that they get dangerous, but even then they're under-prepared, under-equipped morons that would run, screaming, if someone actually opened fire on them. The solution is simple - arm yourself, stockpile your rounds, and be willing to accept the truth of having to be tried by twelve is better than being carried by six.

TechParadox 5 points ago +5 / -0

I keep seeing clips like this one, or the idiots from BLM on the states-side, where people are chucking rocks, bottles, or debris by hand. None of these morons have bothered to take the time to learn the benefits of using a traditional sling to launch projectiles. I guess we should take heart in knowing that the opposition is too dense to even look into classical cheap weaponry that is easy to construct and takes minimal skill to use (despite having a higher skill ceiling to be accurate with).

With a 33 on her ACT she could have gotten into just about any school in the country, and gotten herself a STEM degree. But hey, why do something that's actually useful for the world when you can be a "journalist", right?

This episode clocks in at 61 minutes. Basic summary is available in the other comment I posted, or on their Wordpress page I linked. They usually run the episodes at about an hour in length, and the general upshot is they pick some of the more juicy/salacious/laughable hot takes of the week from sites like Kotaku, Vice, and Polygon to poke fun at and deconstruct over how badly woke they are.

2
TechParadox 2 points ago +2 / -0

Reposting this from KIA over on that other site, to signal boost things a bit. Scrivonaut and Norayla have been putting out quality content for the last year, and I felt it was worth spreading the good word. From the original reddit post:

People are finally beginning to realize Ash Parrish’s race-baiting antics for what they are; readers criticized a recent article in which she reduced a gamer’s record-breaking achievement to her race. In this episode, we discuss how Ash is incapable of seeing anything but skin color along with Kotaku’s cringe take on the NYPD’s game truck, a game developer white knighting for a feminist who insulted him, how “adapting” Japanese games is just a codeword for censorship, Polygon trying to make Luca gay, and Kotaku shaming readers for contributing to climate change.

Check out the episode here or on your favorite podcasting app.

Also, some news: This episodes marks one year since we started the podcast! Whether you only check out the occasional episode or have been listening faithfully every week, thank you so much! We plan to launch a Patreon to allow those who want to show their appreciation monetarily to do so, but the show will remain free to listen to. We would love to make the show better (and put it on an actual podcast hosting site, to start), and a Patreon may allow us to do that. Appreciate you all.

That's the whole reason why Tom is on trial. Mayella wanted some Manidngo dick, lured him in, pressed herself on him, and when she got caught she did the typical feminist thing and blamed the big, brutish man for trying to rape her. Got her a beating from her father in the process because he didn't want her boning down with a black guy.
