Yeah, it's all bad.
I know. My take given the last few batches of apps I went through is we are seeing the slackers, that want to sit it out, starting to have to apply as the covid bonuses run out.
I had a entry level engineering position open and after posting it twice told someone "Out of the 36 apps I finally got, only two didn't have huge red flags."
I've never seen anything like this in nearly two decades of hiring.
Ah, yes. Same issue with my labor force and trying to get HR to understand. In Colorado, 20 years reviewing apps, and I've never had so few. Housing costs are nuts here and you aren't going to get someone to move here at what we currently pay for labor trades.
The pool of candidates just keeps shrinking.
I do have to have to refrain from irrational bias, and I did not see enough to warrant not hiring, especially when two others were in the session and aren't going to necessarily see what I see. I'm just sharing an anecdote and will stick with my decades of hiring experience, thanks.
Had an interesting experience interviewing candidates for a technical job a few weeks back. Probably would have done great in the job but I sense I may have dodged a bullet.
Video interview starts and she's got light neon green problem glasses. No other red flags. A bit haughty as the interview goes on so I like to push buttons to test people out when I see smoke. So I've pushed a little here and there just to get hackles up a bit. I then inform her, as I do all female candidates, that this is a male dominated workplace, as some might be uncomfortable with that. She says very snippily "Will that be a problem" and I respond very matter-of-factly "Not if I hire the right candidate". Hehe, I could tell that clenched her cheeks.
Anyway, I did end up offering it to her but, as I sensed based on the give and take, she turned it down.
My employer is having problems because they aren't putting 2 & 2 together on inflation, and it's caused a lot of havok.
Elaborate please.
I'd probably start with Google and Amazon.
Unfortunately HIPPA doesn't apply here, it just prevents medical information from being spread to a 3rd party.
You mean like the medical info employers are asking for whether you are vaccinated or not and then sharing that with managers and supervisors so you know which staff you have to get weekly testing reports from? Aren't those people 3rd party?
That is some acute sarcasm. Well done.
Das raciss.
I'm resigning next week because of the vaccination hoops I posted about yesterday. Eh, more because I want to and can, but it certainly was part of the final call, even if just a fraction.
What a fucking pig.
"First, I wanted to thank everyone for their continued dedication to our community during these unprecedented times. The last 18 months (wow I can’t believe it has been this long) have challenged and changed our community and each one of us in ways that we never imagined when the pandemic all began.
With the recent increase in COVID cases in HOOTERVILLE, I have had many staff members ask me about vaccination requirements. The topic of required vaccination has been something that we have been evaluating and debating for some time. This has been one of the most challenging decisions that I have been faced with over my career. I wanted to take this opportunity to walk you through my thought process on this issue.
First, any decision that I make has to first take our community into account and then the organization as a whole. I realize that there are many different perspectives and thoughts in our organization about whether or not to receive the COVID vaccine. The one thing that I have clearly heard is that many individuals would like to choose whether or not they receive the vaccine. I have also heard very clearly that many people are concerned about their health and safety and want to clearly know that they are protected when they come to work. The community has also engaged with us and on many occasions they have echoed a similar perspective. As I have previously stated, our most important job is to be there to serve the community every day and when they need us the most, and the community should not have to wonder if they have been exposed to COVID from their public servants. We also owe this to our co-workers so that they can feel comfortable in their service to our residents.
Second, over the last few months we have had a few instances where individuals have tested positive and due to required quarantine and illness, we were in jeopardy of not being able to provide services to our residents. These situations have also impacted other individuals in our organization because they had to shift what they were working on to ensure that we could make the necessary changes to minimize the operational impacts. When a situation creates a potential negative impact to our community and co-workers, I have to develop processes and procedures to ensure that we minimize our operation exposure and do everything we can to ensure that does not occur again."
I think we'll lose more hours worked by people using sick leave for weekly testing and 10 day quarantines for false positives, than you would lose if they didn't implement this.
Hmmm, interesting take.. to me. And I agree, based on what I know. But the cult goes with what the leaders of the cult tell them. Unvax bad. Unvax bad. Unvax bad.
Maybe Portland is where the nuke goes off in 'The Stand' and not Boulder after all.
Oh you bitch
I am so... fucking... sick of hearing what women think.
You really don't get it. The current situation has been created by them, and the globalist funded media. Nothing is organic. This shit isn't an accident. Trump was an accident and they aren't going to allow accidents like that again.
You're getting caught in the noise.
You are naive. We are fucked. Don't take it personally.
I think the funniest thing with King is he writes sex scenes like someone that has never had sex or a normal relationship,
