there is the 14th Amendment that says nobody "engaged in insurrection or rebellion" can be President. This is why they were desperate to call Jan 6 an insurrection and tie Trump to it even though it wasn't an insurrection and encouraging people to "peacefully and patriotically" protest isn't engaging in rebellion.

I was unaware of this. No wonder they were putting all their eggs in the "insurrection" basket.

Pathetic and desperate.

It occurs to me that I am nostalgic for a kind of baseball that is extinct, which was prevalent when we were still a mostly agrarian country and our lives accommodated the harvest and the seasons.

Now that's boring. it doesn't even play well on contemporary TV with its hundreds of channels of shit. We're too impatient and distracted to just shut up, space out, relax, or get wired on stats/scorekeeping.

Minor league ball is where its at for me these days, at least when it comes to live games.

Thomas Szasz was based before the term was invented.

He was a staunch Libertarian whose critique of the psychology establishment and drug prohibition should be required reading for everyone.

Can you imagine the Times running this editorial today?

Neither can I.

Movies, TV, and sports, diversions that once were a comfort to working class men and women, have been co-opted by leftist political causes, making a day at the ballpark or a Saturday night movie at home or at the theater obnoxious. The badgering never stops!

On top of that, the working man has been priced out of ballgames, thanks to the stratospheric salaries demanded by players' agents and the resulting extortionist prices for tickets and concessions.

For the price of a case of shitty light beer, at the ballpark you can have one, maybe two pints of the same. For the price of two packs of hot-dogs, buns, and all the condiments you can get one cold, stale hot dog with nasty counter condiments.

But if you are well-to-do, you are accommodated with gourmet concessions, even restaurants where you can suck up your chardonnay and quiche while watching the game on the TV over the bar (or not) while the contest takes place on the field.

P.S.

Don't get me started on the goddamned "pitch clock" and the prospect of replacing home-plate umpires with cameras.

State lawmakers on Thursday voted along mostly party lines in the Republican-controlled House in favor of a proposed $45 billion state budget that blocks funding for staff, vendors, consultants and programs "associated with diversity, equity (and) inclusion" throughout state government and public colleges and universities.

Bravo, Missouri House of Representatives!

Nothing like some random creep in a mask with a .45 pontificating about "mental health" and love.

Our rights are being eroded one psyop at a time.

What do you think the tranny contagion is? Not just a major "psyop" but a coordinated plan backed by billionaires via think tanks and other massively funded NGOs to make their twisted worldview mainstream, and in case you haven't noticed, the plan is succeeding.

And you miss my point--why should her status as a feminist make the facts she points out any less real? Motives do not matter here.

Whaddaya mean, "glow"?

Irrational hatred is evidence of my being . . . what, exactly? Human?

We need Trump to finish what he started.

Anyone who looks objectively at those things Trump accomplished during his term and at his efforts to follow through on his campaign platform cannot help but admit he was a comparatively good President--which is a left-handed compliment, but he's the best for the US if you look at the likely nominees.

As a lame duck he would have zero reason to defer to any of the alphabet agencies.

The biggest problem with a 2nd Trump term will be his inability to gather any sort of loyal cabinet members.

Of course, in the unlikely event this latest persecution can convict him of a felony, all bets are off. I would not be surprised if he's convicted and his appeals run through the election he'd be disqualified from.

Seems to me there are many who didn't vote Trump the last two times who are fed up with current conditions and will vote for him this time around. This is especially true among black and latino voters.

The latest witch hunt has predictably galvanized his growing base, who will vote for no one else, win converts who despise the recently exposed machinations of the alphabet agencies, and solidify the tendencies I mention among black/latino voters who have been taking it in the shorts since the Floyd riots and the rise and fall of BLM. I don't think we should underestimate how much of conservative black America hates that shit. And there are more black conservatives than one might imagine.

This is all especially relevant because the Ds will run Biden again.

So what?

You think all these cunts got together in a room and plotted the overthrow of the West?

Hand-picked by the higher echelon of rich oligarchs who have funded and advanced the troon agenda.

I knew someone here would take this angle.

Some people can rise above--or even disregard--their political biases while searching for facts and something like the truth.

Did you even listen to her claims?

OldBullLee 4 points ago +4 / -0

Wait. A troon is killed in the act of murdering children and their guardians, and as a result all troons are somehow under threat?

Maybe for retaliation. Cap a few in revenge over these murders . . . but that's unlikely.

How long can this madness go on?

It's a "mental health issue" that has been seized upon by advocates of trans-human global homogeneity to make human beings dependent on technology to reproduce.
