Dragon Ball Super is an awesome action series. If you can't handle Dragon Ball Z's filler Dragon Ball Z Kai is slimmed down version of Z that gets rid of all the filler. In general I prefer the action packed anime centered around fighting so I don't have much to recommend for sci fi.
