Not a Boomer. But you aren't going back far enough. The concept of a middle class was a delineation between upper and lower classes in the age of serfdom. Free men, not serfs, but not titled nobles either.
It's a much older concept than just what it came to mean in the twentieth century.
First off, who gives a toss what John Oliver thinks? He should be deported.
Secondly, if they can actually do it and would make genuine effort towards it, good. Reining in the activist judiciary and gutting the federal bureaucracy would be a good thing.
But they probably won't. "Conservatives" observably don't want to win. In my whole lifetime I've only seen them shamble from one cucking opportunity to the next with little variation.
So as far as why I'm voting, the answer is simple. I'm not voting Trump because I have any hope that the system can be reformed peacefully, certainly not for the promise of whatever policy initiative they spout. I don't think it can be reformed, I think we'll have a civil war in my lifetime.
I'm voting Trump because that seems like the shortest path to liberal tears. I hate these people. Hate isn't even a strong enough word, nor is loathe. I want them to suffer. It makes me happy to see them in pain.
Outside of the debacle debate itself, I've been deriving infinite amusement seeing leftoids pivoting to claim that it doesn't matter if Pedo Joe is actually governing anything or not, that it's the administration that matters.
Openly endorsing an unelected shadow government. Bold strategy Cotton.
No one worships capitalism. Quite the opposite in fact, given that the critics of it blatantly fetishize false idols.
The problem is that "capitalism" is a misnomer, used by people who would prefer the concept of the free exchange of goods and services be replaced for some variety or another of slavery.
Because what we have now is very, very far from the free exchange of goods and services. But the leftoids will rail against a system they created and imposed on us anyway, because some syphilitic old hobo from the 1800s told them it was a good buzzword to yell while trying to destroy civilization.
Gotta translate that from doublespeak.
"We don't believe in moral authority, and we view morality as tyranny."
