Well there is "Anomie: Phoenix Rising Book 1". It's a LitRPG book, and probably one of the most based books I have ever read haha.
It actually got recommended to me in this forum. It's a fun read, specially if you are tired of woke stuff in your books.
You can find it on the Amazon store.
As always, that sort of claims "some of them lied" is just lazy. Like obviously there is a margin of error, I doubt it's double tough.
This reminds me of that silly article that claimed Michele Obama was constantly subjected to racial slurs while she was in the Whitehouse lol. There is of course NO evidence of this, but it "might have happened", "it sounds plausible"
Yup it's insane. Like I checked out "Raid Shadow Leyends" due to all the memes, and dude it's insane. The game is tailor made for addicts. Everything "rewards" you and it has no end. It even has a timer thing for items, so you need to constantly check it during the day to "maximize" your gains. If I was younger I would have been all over that.
... you know being gay it's not a big deal right? It's not like gay people have a third head or something. In the absolute majority of cases you can't even tell if you are talking to a gay guy unless he tells you he is gay, and why would he? Who even cares?
Still, studies like this are waaaay waaaaaaaaaay off the mark. I would be surprised if it's 1/10 people.
It's not precisely that, it's just that I find it VERY unlikely to be an inside job.
Besides, today is a happy day here in Chile! We are celebrating the anniversary of the fall of Communism, which coincidentally happened on 9/11. Viva Chile!!
You are talking about Arcane Ascension aren't you... Holy shit I get what you mean. I read the first book years ago and loved it, but after I met the author on Reddit I found out he made revisions to the book and sequels... He has the the/them swords in his books if I remember right, it was so cringe that to this day I can't recommend his book to anyone.
Well I like your story! I'm about 1/4 of the way in, and I expect the sequel to be ready by the time I'm done, so get to it 😏.
Sadly the other author has a point. If you wanted money or recognition, you wouldn't tell the Truth, you would simply tell them what they want to hear in a slightly "novel" way (like using a non binary buzzword buzzword black Muslim woman in a wheelchair with they/them pronouns), no need to think too hard, just write the tired same old story, but with a fresh dab of woke paint.
The thing about Fiction is that you can really tell how the author looks at the world, it shines trough in the way the characters interact with each other and the way the fictional world works.... And this is the reason you can really tell most "diversity" is horribly forced in modern books. It's so out of place that it's borders on the ridiculous, and it's usually used in an offhanded way so that it doesn't distract from the actual story (like having a side character with they/them pronouns who only appears twice in the story... for no reason). Some authors are more brazen and try to use it as a gimmick for their main characters (like making him/her gay), but it never quite works out... Cause get this... It's not interesting, turns out that if romance isn't the point of the story (or well put together at all) you are better off not having it in the first place. No one cares that the main character is gay if it has no relevance to the story, and it very much alienates MOST of your audience. And I say this being gay myself, I loathe fake people, if you don't like me, tell it to my face. Cause I sure as hell will.
Meh you don't really want that audience. They mostly care about soccer, alcohol and food. The bilingual crowd is where is at, people who take the time to learn other useful languages. Don't bother translating it, most translation services are quite woke.
English is the language of the world atm, as was French quite a few years ago lol.
People who had money in those times all spoke at least some french or German (since the best schools in Latin America where from those 2 countries, followed by British schools in more recent years).
I wouldn't worry too much, most smaller countries tend to like American stuff even if they deny it when asked (that's why most American movies and content in general does GREAT in overseas markets).
This is specially true in Latin America.
Also I'm not quite sure what JewSA means haha.
I ended up buying your book! Been enjoying it so far. I also really enjoyed this talk you guys had... It's so weird to see actual conversation instead of memes, non sequiturs or programed answers.
I don't know if you have international fans, but you got one now lol.
Well I do at least, haven't bought a AAA game in over a decade, only play indies (from not overtly woke companies) and japanese games.
Also haven't watched a single cape movie in over 5 years, same with starwars and american comics. Don't support people that shit on you.
Sadly the part about the subreddit is true. It's been getting worse lately too. As always small subreddits start out alright, and quickly get taken over.
I still sometimes go to the LitRPG subreddit, it's fun to see people shitting on books that aren't woke. It's a great way to get decent recommendations.
Still, and I can't stress this enough, most of these types of books are trash. Fun trash, but trash nonetheless. Specially from authors who got woke during or after writing a book, cause you can absolutely tell (forced use of neutral pronouns, LGBTQ+++ characters, over simplification of language, removing most if not all sources of interpersonal conflict that aren't woke, etc)
America isn't the world. So... No I don't think so.
I do think people in power used Covid as an excuse to take absolutely all the power they could get away with, all in the name of so called "safety".
Kinda how in my country we have a "temporary" tax on gasoline (all types) of 50%, going on for over 50 years now lol.
The point is, be careful what you let your government get away with...
