Yandex is great in terms of search quality and would be my primary search engine if it wasn't for the constant captchas.

That may or may not be due to VPN usage, but I'm not turning it off. I'll try a combination of StartPage and Yandex until I find something better to replace the former.

Rune Factory 5 was released as a buggy mess for Japan. I don't know if they ever fixed those things.

Mandatory update will eventually be forced upon users.

That media guy had a follow-up tweet:

He has already been tackled and had urine thrown at him earlier. Not bad for a ‘peaceful’ protest that doesn’t seem to have a plan, a leader or a solidified message.

Pretty sure the message has been communicated loud and clear, mate but you keep up your agenda pushing.

Congrats on cornering decent, hard working blue-collar people so hard that they had to resort to peace; and this is still NOTHING compared to the BLM 'mostly peaceful' protests of last year that mainstream media was slobbering about.

It was valuable because 1 of the video mirrors what I saw on NNN in being full length and a compelling watch. I strongly encourage you to re-post with an edited title if you feel more comfortable, or link it in the other thread.

And I can safely say I'm a coward and have 0% confidence I would ever act like this -- I'm pretty sure that's the majority of us across WIN despite online bravado, this act of great courage deserves praise.

Did you delete the post, or did Dom moderate it? I don't see a message from Dom.

The other is other airlines have signaled they aren't going to require vaccinations.

Have they? (For passengers, employees - at the very least new, prospective ones - are obviously fucked for any of them unfortunately.)

I don't have any particularly favorite when it comes to airlines, but I'll avoid United forever moving forward if feasible.

The bad faith comment wasn't directed at you. Your advice is unnecessary but I'm not trying to be impolite, it was theoretical / in reference to SJWs, i.e. no one in this post.

DNA1 3 points ago +5 / -2

I'm in favor of gatekeeping. My original comment was about why the agenda is bullshit, not some argument I'd bother to have with bad faith person on this topic. I find this thread pointless, so I'll end with that.

I'm not falling to anything. I put diversity in quotes for a reason; comedy, shounen, shoujo, sports, romance, seinen, slice of life, etc. and their combinations/permutations therein -- if you want to use the phrase variety for more positive conoctation, I don't really care.

Japanese consumerism dictates what is sold. With global influence, that's changing, but there's a reason why there are various niche genres or topics in anime and manga...because companies realize there's a market for it, and wish to exploit it. That's how things should be.

Not really, the latter argument is trying to influence gaming to change it to a minority's interests while trying to appease the outraged with a flippant argument.

My point is that the 'diversity' already exists in anime; there are tons of genres and targeted audiences, including 'strong women' and the like. This is undeniable.

DNA1 19 points ago +21 / -2

The good thing about anime is that there are many types for many folks. There's no end to "female empowerment" out there already, this is a pile of regressive bullshit.

I happily embrace the likes of Shoji Sato; Japan needs to amp up the ecchi, it seems to bleeding out in gaming and the 'global standards' infection is going to ruin anime too.

Enacting a new emergency rule requiring employers with 100 or more employees to ensure their workforces are fully vaccinated or tested weekly is a big step in the right direction. But it isn’t nearly big enough.

Yeah, we also need to vax those murderous animals ASAP. And by that, of course I am referring to dogs, cat, pigs, horses...bats...and so on. Except the sheep -- those are already covered.

Is the harm of giving Square-Enix money outweighed by the benefits of supporting the wonderful games Yoko Taro makes?

No. You can always find someone worthy of supporting without having to compromise; whether that's movies, music, anime, manga, eroge, or whatever, there's no limit to the opportunities to part with your money.

Pirate or buy second hand if you must, but absolutely do not pre-order directly or otherwise support companies like SE. These kind loathe you, demean you, and go out of their way to insult you -- luckily they create extremely easily boycottable products.

Do not freely give up what is your premier act of disobedience. There's not much in your life you can control, but this is one of those few.

Haven't played it yet. It's on the back burner.

Unfortunately there aren't many gaming sites out there worth watching. Gematsu is completely woke, and the rest are usually mainstream garbage.

SankakuComplex occasionally comes out with interesting news, which is nice, but I wish there were others. I used to avoid NicheGamer, but given how bad everything is, I tolerate it.

This news came out on SC about 5 hours after my post, btw - https://www.sankakucomplex.com/2021/09/18/world-of-warcraft-censors-sexy-paintings-following-news-of-lawsuit/

All I know about this game is that there are 2 blacks (1 man, 1 woman) on the cover.

Automatic do-not-buy for me given the in-your-face wokeism. I'll probably pass on ever pirating it as well.

Worship the ground that Sony, Nintendo, PCs, or Xbox walks on, hate the others, or you are the enemy. I put it on the changing narrative in politics and everything else.

Fanboy mentality has been around for 20+ years. This is one of those rare topics where I don't think the mainstream proliferation or political agendas has made much of a difference... It was fucked from the beginning, or at least the point in time where a console becomes strong enough - or there is recent precedence - for brand identity to start overruling anything else.

AFAIK the advisory panel can be overruled. FDA itself can still approve it.

Edit: Advisory panel approved boosters for some cases as well (ZeroHedge below, but saw it in various places last night):

Update (1620ET): Minutes after the FDA advisory panel rejected the Biden Administration's plan to dole out booster shots to patients as young as 16, the same panel returned and voted unanimously to temporarily approve Pfizer Booster jabs for patients who are either a.) 65 or older, b.) immunocompromised or c.) both.

Pointless paragraph can be ignored in this article:

It remains unclear if these changes, while minor, are being made to remove any potential examples of sexual content in their games due to the nature of the California lawsuit against the company – which alleges that Blizzard discriminated against female employees and that female employees make up only 20% of staff.

Nice, peaceful protest. Maybe we'll see more peace in the next one though.

Half-KIA and KIA2 are better though, because it has less cucks in comparison.

I made the same point here - https://kotakuinaction2.win/p/13zMijiGT1/x/c/4JEXZBD9ojR

Those starved for nerd content should just grow it here if they like the community.

Except the Gaming WIN has its fair share of cucks who don't give a shit about ethics.

A bunch of them were probably raging last year when the riots were ongoing and Sony was particularly trite in its response about how lives couldn't be recovered but property could; now they're hot for a PS5 (and it has a fucking barren library to boot!).

Not true for all -- I've seen a fair share giving a crap about things like Valve's censorship or, much less, companies like Creative Assembly, but some of those posts are revolting.
