What the actual FUCK is going on there!

I'd love to see the whole thing, I bet it gets even worse.

Laying hands on a (I presume) student like that? Wandering off? When was this?

Jill is about as "genuine" as Hillary is: teeth grinding aberrations.

That's too bad because Marc: Princess Warrior is a really funny skit the did many times on This Hour Has 22 Minutes (back when it was both funny and unbiased!).

She got promoted? Lolz. And is probably highly biased now too.

Ah! You're good to go then. I started it years ago but didn't get half-way. The first bits seemed familiar but not much.

It really is good. I can see why "liberals" would get their panties in a twist over it though.

I thought it was interesting when Johnny ordered his men to Freeze. It was rather corny that his father ended up as his subordinate though... anyhow, very interesting stuff.

Talks about evolution shows up twice: that of planets (and humans) in 11 and the evolution of governments in 12. Maybe later, just finished those two so far.

When talking about how planets with little hardship fail to develop tough species, is Heinlein really talking about humanity? In our history, the colonies in The Americas run by the French, Dutch, British, Spanish, Portuguese (and Swedish) rapidly developed their own cultures and eventually rebelled against their fostering nations. Some by force (USA) or by agreement (Canada) but eventually became considerably different than their founding nationalities. It only took 200 years, give or take.

Imagine space colonies, human populations exploding with an abundance of food, lack of warfare and endless frontiers to move into. Not to mention advanced medicines and technology. How long until they too cast off the "old ways" of Earth and adopt a new form of government and society? How will Earth react to that?
Will the New Planets become soft and exploitable? Or hard and dangerous? Would they keep their allegiance with their home world or align with its enemies?

Fascinating discussion for a book about killing alien "bugs" on distant worlds, eh?

Q: Why are they numbered "1... 2... 3... 5..."?
Something wrong with the number 4?
Is it lyrics from a Supertramp song?
🤔

Maybe a 'highlights' of topics?
Johnny's flogging
a realistic boot camp experience?
morality and discipline in society.

Like that? No feelings involved 😅

"Black Lives Matter" her shirt says, but Black fetuses do NOT matter at all...

My Body My Choice... except for forced shooting of vaccines into others, they have NO choice in the matter.

& etc.

To be a feminist? You have to believe 7 impossible things before breakfast!

Yup, let the man pay for the cost of an abortion (a fixed price that may vary by State) and that's the end of his responsibility. Done!
No more 18 year sentences of poverty for one night stands!

Of course a paternity test is mandatory, lyin' bitches tell lies after all.

Don't forget that the government must pay for it too, as well as for contraceptives (that they didn't use anyhow).

All abortions should have a psychological check along with a criminal background check, along with everyone in your family too. Former or current boyfriends, girlfriends or spouses should sign papers agreeing with the abortion. An 8 month "cooling off" period is required. Also only 1 abortion per man or woman per decade, just how many abortions do you need? 🙄

These 'common sense' abortion laws don't prohibit you from getting one, they just make sure the "wrong people" don't have access.

They didn't even "remove" the boulder, it just got moved to a place that's harder to see.
The reason? Because 100 years ago a single article referred to it as a "n*ggerhead" which was a common term for anything large, roundish and vaguely black.

ONE word in ONE article ONE hundred years ago is all it takes.

My (brief, failed) boot camp experience had a discussion of training puppies and how it's the same as training soldiers. Very similar! Including "Do you shoot him for wetting the rug? Bang!"
We also discussed reasonable force, and how the threat of force is useless if the enemy doesn't think you can pull it off.
I learned that in my childcare career: never threaten a kid with a 'consequence' you cannot deliver. Or one they don't understand, it's equally useless. Of course I had preschoolers, maybe school-agers were different.
I've trained a lot of cats over the years too. Getting rid of a bad habit is hard no matter what level of evolution you're dealing with.

Speaking of evolution, there's a charming discussion in Ch.11... for next week.

OOPS! I thought this week included Chapter 11, which is quite long.
Edited them out :p

The discussion of badly raised children becoming like animals, seeking gangs to survive? Heinlein ain't seen nothing like the 21st century has to offer. Entire generations of undisciplined, uneducated and immoral 'children' facing NO consequences at all for abhorrent criminal behavior. No respect, no ambitions, no role models except drug dealers and violent rap artists.

MSbP or the abortion thing?

MSbP is deliberately injuring or sickening your own children (usually, since you have unlimited access and control over them) to garner sympathy & stuff. It's usually women doing it, I'd bet those supporting mutilating children have at least a touch of it too.
Drilling it into your kids that they're "gender fluid" and so forth in an effort to get them to have treatments and even surgery sounds a lot like MSbP to me.

Some women are so proud of their abortions, they brag about them. How can a woman have 5-6 abortions? It beggars the imagination. I think someone like her has had one, possibly more than one. A "Kindermörderin".

The Canadian Media gushed over BLM and other violent groups for the past year or more. Actual violence, arson and vandalism, not just words. Blocking roads and rail lines, disrupting the lives of thousands? All A-OK because of skin colour.

But angry words? From White people? Not allowed.

The CDC has said ivermectin does not help prevent or treat coronavirus and can cause severe illness.

I know it doesn't prevent catching Covid, but didn't Fauci admit the other day it was 85% effective in treating Covid? Or was that something else?

At any rate, HCQ was used in other nations to great effect, but not so much in America (or Canada I presume, we just do what the CDC and WHO says, no questions asked by our spineless government).
