Member when Abu Ghraib happened? Not saying it's a cause, but OP and your post made me member Brig. Gen. Janis Karpinski: the lady in charge of the forces at Abu Ghraib prison when those prisoners were being tortured and humiliated.
More on topic, I have a relative that was in the service. He was an officer and always got annoyed by a decent chunk of the women under his command because an annoying amount liked to get pregnant right before shipping out. When it came to the heavy lifting or working with things that could seriously hurt someone men would often have to pickup the slack, too. One can see how that's a hazard if you're working with a chain or something else under a lot of tension while you're at sea, to give an example.
Though I think if I were to talk to him today it's the red tape thats one of the larger issues, it influenced his retirement as a matter of fact. All the bureaucracy and bs to get even a small task done skyrocketed under the Obama administration, according to him. He was already out of the military by thaf point but was doing the same stuff he was doing while he was in.
Growing up, girls are discouraged from rough play, in part because it's 'unladylike', and in part because rough play with a boy could get that boy into pretty significant trouble in multiple ways.
Girls do not generally have the experience of getting punched in the face by a bigger kid, and even in their teens, their physical fights rarely cause much pain because... well... most of them just aren't strong enough to do real damage with a punch - if they ever learned how to even throw one.
Many of them don't learn restraint or how to actually wield authority without being insufferable, because the prospect of getting a black eye or losing a tooth isn't really something they have to think about, and neither is the prospect of getting into serious trouble for inflicting visible injuries on another. That's why women manage to be such utter fucking bitches to eachother - because they generally never have to deal with getting their asses beaten for it.
I've served under a female officer while conscripted. She was a horrible backstabbing conniving bitch. The sergeant major wasn't much better. Our commanding officer was ok but generally mia so the two suck ups ran things badly
She must have some magic pussy, must be great at giving nose jobs as well. If a man had done that, its game over for his career making a woman hide under a table and cry.
It's difficult to tell these days. Was she a horrible officer? Or are the armed forces overrun with diversity hires and snowflakes? Reading these articles, I'm inclined to say "both".
At this point, it's really just the Marines that can be relied upon to fly in the face of the zeitgeist. Air Force, Navy, and to a lesser extent Army are all fucked.
toxicbiofacts is right. Integration was a mistake. Women are a net negative on military operations, and not in a small way.
The only surprise here was that she was just as hostile to the women in her unit.
Women hate other women, they are instinctively wired to see them as competition. Because primal women rarely needed to cooperate on the level men did, so they never learned that level of social cohesion beyond the basic level.
The first thing women in power do is immediately destroy the women below them, everytime.
But that doesn't match any of my experiences so far. Every workplace with a female boss, they worked with the female workers to make a hostile environment for men. Maybe the UK is so fucked even biology can't stop them banding together against us.
And its the opposite of mine. Men are much more soft and supportive on female underlings than female bosses. Female bosses are either hard on everyone or much harder on women because they know how they got the position, and how easy it would be lose to it to a hotter sluttier one.
I've seen sisterhood, but if you get them alone its only a public face and they will conspire against each other all the same. And if threatened they will throw each other to wolves. Don't mistake alliances of convenience for loyalty or long term planning.
This of course isn't 100%, its only increased likelihood.
It's not really surprising that a woman with a lot of power turns into a raging ball of hatred. I mean, you just have to look at regular workplaces to see how it turns out.
Making someone kill themselves because of your hostility and earning a promotion might be the greatest example of female privilege to date. If I made someone kill themselves because of my actions, I'd be vilified and blacklisted from most jobs. That's not even taking into account that the military have to have complete trust in their commanding officers to function in their purpose and I severely doubt anyone would trust her.
Jesus Christ.

Fired Female Air Force General Created Toxic Work Environment
Such great diversity
>female general
and we wonder why the military is in such shambles

Anyone that has to rely on fear to command isn't even remotely fit for the role. Fuck this skank.
Any man who must say, "I am the King", is no true king.- Tywin Lannister
Case in point: Scar from the Lion King
Assume any officer above O-3 and outside of SOCOM is a raging retard until proven otherwise. General officers need twice the proof.
a feminist Navy vet's reply to that article's twitter thread
in case you were wondering how people like this get away with it.
Woman is an absolute bitch, fails upwards due to pussy pass.
Feminist response: "This is the patriarchy's fault."
It amazes me that most women today don't seem to get the difference between stern, structured command and being a raging trainwreck.
It doesn't surprise me, honestly.

Then they sexuallly fetishize this warped D/s dynamic and basically try and force dudes to listen to them without our consent!

Shit..your military's pozzed as well?

Study after study keeps proving this, as well.

They always fall upwards, because firing them brings the wrath of their stupid cult.

I'm sensing a pattern on both counts...super bitch, and rewarded for being super bbitch.

This maneuver should be called the 'Zoe Quinn'.
Wtf is going on with that schnoz?
Certainty there are a lot of young Americans that will think twice before joining the US forces after reading this news.
