This is what they do with woke stuff though. They throw together a decent movie and make it woke. This trains people to associate woke with "good". There's no hidden: "I made it woke so I could make a based storyline". No, it has always been: we're corrupting based storylines with woke.

This review is a trojan horse.

They throw together a decent movie and make it woke.

It's only considered "decent" because people have absolutely no standards. Look at Dunc. Both movies are not just wokified but are also simply terrible. People praise the first Dunc when it's actually an incredible boring and badly written movie. Visually impressive shots with boring visuals as paradoxical that may sound. Everything has a brutalist design. Everything is a variation of grey and brown. No color whatsoever. And yet people still praise that heap of garbage.

Uuuh explosions uuuuh forgettable Hans Zimmer soundtrack uuuh stupid chanting uuuh ten thousand shots of sand and Zendaya dream sequences. 10/10 movie!

And do not get me started on how that French cunt absolutely obliterated the story. Calling these movies Dune is even more ridiculous than calling Ellen Page a man.

If you mean that 2021 Dune movie, no kidding it's terrible. I haven't read the book since I was a kid, but it can't be as bad as that movie. I fell asleep, and I can suffer some slow movies. Lots of older movies are slow and light on action, yet in a lot of cases manage to keep attention. Dune was just boring and ugly.

I haven't read the book since I was a kid, but it can't be as bad as that movie.

Considering that the French cunt stripped everything that makes Dune Dune from the story, no it's not. It is quite literally not Dune and anyone who says the opposite should be locked up in an insane asylum.

Even the very foundation of the story isn't explained. What is spice and why is it and Dune so vitally important? If you've only watched the movies you won't know the answer. 1984 Dune explained more in the first 5 minutes than those two movies did in their whole 5 fucking hours of runtime.

People like to shit on Lynch's version but that movie actually feels and looks like Dune and is actually fun even if it takes a lot of liberties with the story. The fan cut fixes quite a few of those liberties and turn the movie from a bad adaption (story wise) into quite a decent adaption while the mini series remains the only great adaption of Dune.

If you think that Dune movie was bad, the 1984 version was the worst movie ever made.

Kyle MacLachlan was absolutely brilliant in the role -- he came in with a sense of mischievous wonder. It was a tough role to pull off to both portray a character who understands the world but has a sense of awe and wonder about how it works so he's both explaining to the audience and being explained to by other characters the necessary information the audience needs to know in order to understand the worldbuilding.

That movie was actually pretty good, whether you've read the books or not, because it setup the baseline for what you needed to understand within that sci-fi universe and kept the pace moving at a rapid clip to try to get everything in as quickly as possible within its runtime.

There were issues for sure, but there were some absolutely epic moments, too. Paul riding in on the Shai-Hulud near the end was cinematic mastery.

Plus, Sting was cool in that flick -- he didn't have to say or do much to come across as a right sodding prick in that film, and it worked.

Huh I kinda liked the first 2 parts, but I already know the story.

It's an example of atmospheric 'slow cinema', similar to Bladerunner 2049. Both have rotten 'woke' cores, but people can 'experience' the story just the same if they looked past all the ham-fisted woke creative decisions, typically involving feminist themes.

What story? There is no story in Dunc. There is no story in Odyssey. The story was butchered and discarded.

There is a story in Dune. It's just minimalistic as typical for 'slow cinema'.

This trains people to associate woke with "good"

Nearly ten years ago I said this is what would become the standard -- the new and pervasive way to inculcate the masses with Marxism.

The award institutions like BAAFTA/Academy Awards have forced it so that you have to have woke material in the movie to even be considered for nomination (same thing with games).

This means that whether you're a based writer/director or not, the studio is not going to pass up a nomination opportunity to sate your auteur sensibilities. They know that adding a tagline to a film trailer "From the Academy-nominated/winning...." adds legitimacy to the movie, director, actor, etc.

What they've done is create a hierarchy of woke that cannot be bypassed for any studio that wants in on awards-considerations, and I don't know of a studio that doesn't want that recognition for marketing purposes? So everything downstream executive decisions -- whether the execs are woke or greedy -- will end up being affected by woke regardless.

Worse yet, is that as you stated -- every normie will eat this up because [insert favourite actor/director/brand/franchise/etc. here] is being released and they have to go see it, even though the trailer is rife with tells that it's been compromised with the woke virus.

Woke will not only become the standard of all media going forward, but every other normie out there will be defending it because -- as you said -- they've been trained with a Pavlovian response to think woke is good.
