I think there does seem to be a difference. Women have all kinds of nasty wants, they'll read unlimited fanfic, romance novels, "romantasy," etc. Super explicit and nasty stuff.
What I DON'T see women doing is throwing away hundreds or thousands of dollars on pussy influencers, onlyfans, white knighting, etc.
Women will destroy happy families over a new source of tingles (or lack thereof).
They also write letters to serial killers and pursue relationships with them while incarcerated.
Women also will ignore the red flags of petty criminals & wife beaters if he's dangerous or handsome enough. And will willingly put their children within reach of child molesters as single mothers for guys with dark triad traits.
They might not be simps wrt their wallets usually. But they are willing to recklessly throw away huge social costs & harm their loved ones simply because of their lust for casual sex.
Men will destroy a family for fucks too. I don't know that either one (men or women) is unique. Plenty of stories of both men and women leaving families for the hot new fuck. I've seen both in friends/relatives.

Of course. Men and women are fundamentally different. Men want to provide and women want to be provided for. Men spend on others and women spend on themselves. There's a reason why the sex toy industry caters mostly to women.

When I was in highschool I was visiting relatives in a rural area. There was a poster on the side of a building showing policemen, firemen, men in suits, etc. It said something like "Real men don't need pornography."
I thought it was dumb.
I've watched my share over the years, and it's easy for me to say now that I'm married and older, but I would consider myself anti-porn now. Most men can partake in moderation and be fine, but it becomes a compulsion for some or many--particularly young men.
