I can’t remember the exact source, but I recall a video I saw a couple months ago about a family from Canada that was taking themselves and their kids and moving to El Salvador. I’m not sure that could have sounded any more crazy 20 years ago yet that is how bad Canada is today.
We've looked into emigrating to the US from Canada, but it's actually pretty difficult to get in. We'd need to invest hundreds of thousands into an American business or have a job offer. In the latter case, my Mrs. wouldn't be covered and would need a green card.
However, it's still the plan.

The Alberta premier just wrote a long celebratory tweet about ramadan, and one of her Ministers opened a speech with a land acknowledgement. I think Alberta is just as damned as the rest of our country.
