"I love that dude!" That's maybe the worst thing about Woke Trek, they write in current day slang. Watch TOS to VOY and I think even Enterprise- they made an effort not to try and sound like the lingo of the day.
It would be like in TOS if Kirk was saying "Groovy! Right on, man" then McCoy called Spock a "square buzzkill"
