I’ve had a mod saved for a long time called Live another Life where you aren’t tied to the Dragonborn’s storyline and you can live as a farmer or whatever (I think there are a few options of where you start). Haven’t tried it yet because I’m still exploring new areas. What kind of playthroughs have yall done?
I’ve done one where I only walk everywhere, where I stay with the companions and rid myself of the werewolf curse, where Serana and I make money clearing bandits and building mansions, and I may try a play through using only magic.
Also the mod where you restore the original civil war plans is fun. Very time consuming though because you can lose territory that you have conquered in real time
Enderral total conversion mod is popular for a reason. It's a whole new game and it's free.
For Skyrim? What does it do? Is it like that forgotten city mod?
I spelled it wrong my bad.

Thanks!
I recommend the lycanthrope class.
I got anniversary edition cheap on a sale and so benefited from some of the user created player homes and legendary mode.
After getting all the trophies again, I do a playthrough where I try to kill the least amount of NAMED NPCs, like saving the imperial woman when you first enter Markarth or killing the decoy emperor with a crossbow so then the other cook isn't imprisoned and executed.
Also not killing Parthanax as Blades were being stupid with that, why would I kill my dragon home boy?
I've done several playthroughs with two main themes:
Attending the mage's college in Winterhold and becoming a powerful spellcaster who more or less eschews the use of weapons.
Using Live Another Life to wake up left for dead and wander the wilderness trying to find my way back to civilization, often contracting lycanthropy en route(I forget which mod I used for that now, but there's one that introduces werewolves as a random encounter).
You just gotta change things up after a while and stop being a sneak archer.
One of my favorite runs though was definitely being a Kajit thief and leaning heavily into the stereotype. Good ol' Kujah, stealing absolutely everything and then stealth suplexing the guards.
Conjuration was always fun for me. No need for weapon smithing, AND can summon familiars. I can't recall if soul trapping was tied to that too, and soul trapping made for some amazing Enchanting (Especially if you get that daedric artifact, the White Star I believe).
Also, for those that don't know LAL, while you don't start with the same intro, you do get to access the Dragonborn storyline the moment you get near the fort, watching Alduin fly away after scorching the place.
The first time I did LAL I did see Aldon fly away and I stupidly went and investigated and did the main quest line. I need to ignore it next time
At this point I always install most of Enai Siaion mods (and Elysium Estate, love that home)
Ordinator alone allows so many fun builds and Apocalypse has way too many interesting spells for me to enjoy vanilla anymore.
Once I played an illusion mage, casting Frenzy and enjoying watching all the enemies kill each other (ordinator allows enraging of previously immune enemies if your level is high enough) and then casting mirror entity so the last enemy has to fight himself to death.
Sigh.... guess I have to reinstall Skyrim now...
I love the game. I don’t see how Elder Scrolls 6 will live up
It won't unfortunately
Or modders will have so much work to fix it that it will be unrecognizable from the official release
Considering Bethesda has tried numerous times to monetize mods throughout Skyrim's lifetime, there is 0% chance they won't launch with some plan in place to do so this go around.
Between that and the increasing complexity that is modern gaming (thanks to jugaad India coding), its very unlikely to have the same ecosystem of mods that people have come to associate with the franchise.
Also they have taken so long and there is so much anticipation that it’s nearly impossible to be as good as the game I’ve imagined. Similar thing happened with Starfield. The game I imagined was far from the game we got
If you've been itching for another Elder Scrolls-like experience, I've been hearing good things about Tainted Grail: Fall of Avalon. It definitely looks like something that was made to fill in the massive void Bethesda have been leaving in their complacency.
One thing that's especially promising is that the character creator HAS NO BODY TYPE BS! It's male or female! Nothing in between!
I’ll check out that game
But I don't have the three days it takes to reinstall all the mods I'd need...so it gets to sit in the library for a few more years.
I really need to buy additional drive for Skyrim and all the mods only
I'm still playing modded Oblivion (original). Right now a mostly vanilla playthrough, with Better Dungeons (makes them all unique), HD texture packs, and extra sounds and music. I'm also using mods for controller and rumble support, since I'm usually streaming to a handheld.
I still need to play oblivion. I have the Skyrim mod that adds Bruma and Skyblivion is coming too
