I’ve had a mod saved for a long time called Live another Life where you aren’t tied to the Dragonborn’s storyline and you can live as a farmer or whatever (I think there are a few options of where you start). Haven’t tried it yet because I’m still exploring new areas. What kind of playthroughs have yall done?
I’ve done one where I only walk everywhere, where I stay with the companions and rid myself of the werewolf curse, where Serana and I make money clearing bandits and building mansions, and I may try a play through using only magic.
Also the mod where you restore the original civil war plans is fun. Very time consuming though because you can lose territory that you have conquered in real time
It won't unfortunately
Or modders will have so much work to fix it that it will be unrecognizable from the official release
Considering Bethesda has tried numerous times to monetize mods throughout Skyrim's lifetime, there is 0% chance they won't launch with some plan in place to do so this go around.
Between that and the increasing complexity that is modern gaming (thanks to jugaad India coding), its very unlikely to have the same ecosystem of mods that people have come to associate with the franchise.
Also they have taken so long and there is so much anticipation that it’s nearly impossible to be as good as the game I’ve imagined. Similar thing happened with Starfield. The game I imagined was far from the game we got
If you've been itching for another Elder Scrolls-like experience, I've been hearing good things about Tainted Grail: Fall of Avalon. It definitely looks like something that was made to fill in the massive void Bethesda have been leaving in their complacency.
One thing that's especially promising is that the character creator HAS NO BODY TYPE BS! It's male or female! Nothing in between!
I’ll check out that game
