Anyone can convince Trump to do anything if you give him the royal treatment, wine and dine him tell him how great he is, turn the art of the deal back on him and make him think he's winning and will be remembered as a hero. The only surprising thing is it took the elites 12 years to figure that out. The liberal establishments attempt to fight Trump instead of attempting to appeal to him was their worst mistake. Though he has always had a good relationship with the royals.

Nope, I think it's more that because of the culture of both Russian and Eastern European politics mixed with leftist outside media, there is no way to deescalate to stop the war, only go from a position of strength and inflict a loss whether that's Poland and Estonia shooting down Russian incursions into airspace or Ukraine gaining SOME ground with more hardware.
Trump has always been hawkish with Russia. My theory on his recent full retard escalation is that he always wanted the war to continue but had to balance that desire with anti-war elements in his base. He did that by appearing open to Ukraine ceding territory. Now that Russia might just outright take it, he needs to move the goal posts to justify the forever war.

Trump has spent his whole adult life treating every sexual encounter like it is probably a blackmail sting. I am not exaggerating.
