I'll admit most personal umbrellas are more compact. You can also see there's a looped strap of some sort that a typical umbrella either doesn't have or if it does have it it's at the end of the handle and not in the middle. Maybe it's part of the wrap but the umbrella is already closed and wrapped up so what is it? But regardless, it's also clearly not a rifle even in the video. I assume they wanted to be safe than sorry but this is stupid.
Nothing wrong with keeping a collapsable umbrella in your backpack, in case of surprise weather. If you're actually heading out while it's raining, well, that's on you.
No one carries a rifle like that, no matter how deranged they may be. If it were a rifle it would be butt forward & barrel pointed to the back. That alone makes thinking it's a rifle stupid. 🙄 But we are dealing with liberals here...

Only midgets and twinks use compact umbrellas. I have to use a golf umbrella or my shoulders get wet
