Flash floods have been around forever. They just latch onto climate change whenever they can. My parents were born in the 50s and they told me that in the 70s global cooling was all the rage.
They were also scared of nuclear winter.

Its especially funny how angry they get when you compare them to evangelicals blaming these storms on homosexuality or sin or the like.
yeah except i WANT "citizens" deported. there are a lot of "citizens" that have no legal or moral claim to be in this country. their "citizenship" is a clerical mistake made on paper by a law no one campaigned on or voted for.
A lot of the Texas hill country is just rock. It has a long, long history of flooding going back well before climate change was even discussed. There’s a cave down there, Longhorn Cavern formed by rushing water that is dry most of the time. It didn’t just appear when climate change became a thing. If you study history there are loads of example of devastating flood.
The campsites were careless to not make paying attention to weather a higher priority.

Maybe not antagonizing the bigger, tougher, smarter opponent isn't such a good idea when you're not going to be in power forever.
Trump is side-stepping the 'country of origin doesn't want to take back its problem-citizens' roadblock and is instead dumping them in countries that will eagerly take those citizens in exchange for a certain monetary incentive.
More countries should be doing it. It'll probably change the entire immigration landscape if European countries adopted similar policies.
