I'll ne honest I got no clue what's going on with this.
Is it a reaction to the feeling that there's a lack of direct action to the US's debt?
Is this to ensure the libertarians and even more disillusioned dems vote for this than Democrats?

Probably Republican party won't let his candidates in the primaries, not answering his phone calls, and that makes him feel impotent, which is literally the worst torture anybody could inflict on a raging narcissist like Musk.
With his own party he gets to choose every candidate. They'll never be more than a spoiler but Musk never thinks that far ahead.
Are we sure he's not intentionally spoiling? Either because he's raging mad at not getting what he wanted, or as a pressure tactic to get what he wants.
It's a reaction to the impotence of the GOP when they have power. They've turned into the party of RINOs and profiteers.

Based on the above board conversations, it seems he was mad that DOGE wasn't given unlimited and final say on the things they did, and that his "work" didn't give him enough favors with the Trump admin to get all sorts of EV credits and other laws/money bent to his ventures. So now he is going full "Trump betrayed us all! blackjack and hookers!" and trying to leverage the doomers into a political party for himself.
Its obviously all hurt ego being masked under political platitudes to get people behind him.
