Halloween Horror Nights is huge in the Universal Parks fandom. There is lore, tons of stories, and collectibles. It's genuinely one of my favorites.
Las Vegas is opening up this year, and I guess Chicago and more are coming soon as well. They're also looking at geek events and escape experiences to spread out.
Six Flags Astroworld used to have an annual event called Fright Fest for this reason.
I used to go to that park quite a lot, and I still miss it. It closed down in 2005, and twenty years later, the site is still a vacant lot.
