The wild flip-flopping between "what does DEI/woke even mean???" and "DEI/woke is a good thing," and "anti-DEI/woke is the real issue" is as insane and deranged as it is infuriating and frustrating. I can tell that it's an ideology in the throes of failure because of the inconsistent defenses for it, but it's simply so gigantic and deeply embedded in the minds and lives of the people involved, not to mention overwhelmingly well-funded, that it's probably going to take another generation and a half to seriously bleed out. I pray every day for the "...and then very suddenly all at once" to kick in before it's too late and the world is doomed to a true and lasting Dark Age that it might not recover from for centuries.
