This is a ballot in Canada. Usually there's the 4-5 "main" parties and maybe 2-3 "fringe" parties or independents.
The vote is ONLY for that Riding, we don't get to vote on anything else.
So for 90 "candidates" to be on it? A good 80 of them are Liberal shills, only there to clutter up the paper.
How is this legal? I have no idea.

Well your better than most, they've been plugging their ears and yelling about how crazy we are even louder to avoid admitting how long we've been right about the course canadas taking.

You don't have to live in the riding to run in it. In my parents rural Alberta riding the Green candidate in the last election lived in Ontario and TMK didn't even visit it once.
In Jack Layton's 2011 Quebec Orange Crush Wave when the Liberals collapsed under Michael Ignatieff, anglophone Ontario paper candidates got elected for Quebec ridings that didn't even speak French.
Including the infamous Ruth Ellen Brousseau, a waitress from Ottawa who couldn't speak French and vacationed in Vegas instead of campaigning elected to a Francophone Quebec seat.
In I think the previous election these losers called the Rhino Party found some guy named Maxime Bernier and had him run against the real Max in a clear attempt to trick voters.

Was this the ballot for Pollivere's district? Was this an outlandish outlier from the number of candidates in other districts?
There's some activism group that wants electoral reform to a Single Transferable Vote or Mixed Member Proportional system instead of the First Past the Post (ya know, the exact same thing Trudeau campaigned on in 2015 - "This will be the last FPTP election" then immediately abandoned when he realized the traditional system benefits his party more).
So they have a whole bunch of randos without an affiliation run as independents but not campaign in targeted ridings. They did the same thing in the Ontario provincial election just a few months earlier.
Supposedly they targeted Poilievre's riding of Carleton (an Ottawa suburb) to make it high profile, even though PP has no say whatsoever in electoral reform.
There's also some conspiracy stuff, as Elections Canada announced they were going to start pre-counting the advanced poll votes in Poilievre's riding before election day because it was going to take poll workers longer than usual to unfold and tabulate the irregular folded ballots.
This, along with the fact that Carney's government-funded agitprop media started telegraphing a week before the election that Poilievre's seat was in danger of flipping Red when he had held it since 2004. Voter turnout in his riding was also apparently sus, given something like 80k people voter for either of the two main parties in a riding with only a pop of 120k including children.

This strategy seems to be borne of a Supreme Court decision that struck down registration fees that were designed to discourage unserious candidates. Apparently only 50 signatures are needed to run, so the activist group gathers the same 50 people to sign 80+ nomination forms, gumming up the whole ballot.
An anti-FPTP activist group that targeted the opposition party and not the party that lied about removing FPTP? Sounds legit.
Most ballots only had 4-6 names while the seat for the conservative leader somehow had 90 candidates.
I worked the elections this year. My city riding had 6 candidates- CPC, Lib, NDP, PPC, Green & 1 independent (who got 0 votes at my station).
almost 9% voted for the "new democrat" in a turban.
sorry to say to my canadian friends, but canada is fucked, cucked, and sucks. ...hopefully we'll be able to do something about it from this end, but I'm not holding my breath.

We're going to need to build another wall. Trump should probably get Elon to task a battalion of Tesla robots that do nothing but build 50 foot tall sections of wall and throw them up.
