Let's say you have 3k worth of bills a month. Thats a lot. The man works hard to pay them. If he is bad at his job he gets fired and the bills dont get paid. Then you have a stay at home mom who is shit at her job you come home to a messy house and unruly kids. This is unbalanced.
If you monetize the bills and the chores TOGETHER, and split them EVENLY, then you have a system of accountability and responsibility and expectation and respect. If she stays at home she CANT make money in any real sense to pay money for the cost of the bills, so she takes on more CHORES to cover her side of the expenses. If she is doing MORE value of work than half the total expenses is worth, then she DESERVES some spending money because she is WORKING for it(the monetary income allowing for it). If the monetary income does not ALLOW for that then the man SHOULD PICK UP MORE CHORES to balance it again.
