We get strips as limited menu items quite often in my country and unlike the nuggets they aren't minced meat. (They are also more expensive as a result.)
Publix just brought in some really good chicken strips. I can only guess Safeway has done the same. Chicken and the South go together like coffee shop in a bar in Seattle.
Publix needs to make a burger, or is that encroaching on Wawa?
The McRib is now a joke that nobody likes and their "dollar menu" is up to like 3-4$. They are out of options to compete against the other Fast Food places that serve either better or more varied food.
So I guess the plan is to diversify with a little of all options.
cheap, fast, budget and delivery. if they would combine that with minimum viable product versions of all common fast food and be honest about it they could clean bank.
"mc'ds you know its shit, we know its shit. guess what though? its fast n cheap... also we deliver. so order once your off work enjoy some hot slop and do it all over again"

Not sure it makes a difference. How much actual chicken do you think is in their nuggets?
3 seagulls worth.

I watched an episode of Undercover Boss with a ship captain. And he said he caught little fish that make up McDonalds chicken nuggets
Is that why taco bell has suddenly gone crazy with chicken everything lately?

Wawa has burgers but they are known for hoagies
Alternatively, buy a kilo of bone in thigh for around the same price. Make your own then soup or stock the bones.
I dread to think how much a apple pie is these days.
