But it's Gavin fucking Newsom. He's not under the radar enough to get away with it.
He has zero shot of winning the Black vote in the Dem primaries and thus zero chance of winning the Dem nomination
The SC primary is currently the most important Dem primary.
It is what allowed Biden to become the 2020 nominee.
The 2028 Dem nominee will be someone who has mass appeal to Black Dem voters
If Harris runs again, she actually has a good shot of winning the nomination.
Blacks may like a 'moderate' white candidate (this makes him more moderate than the dementia patient that they chose last time) they think is electable. I don't think they're an automatic vote for a black candidate. Even in 2008 they supported Hillary until Obama showed to their satisfcation that he was electable.
Newsom will be the next Dem nominee The dems will want to win so bad they will run a straight white man.

I would like ANYONE even thinking 'well he's not Trump so..' to have voting rights rescinded for life.
He managed to turn California, a almost garden, fertile state into the shitshow it is now. Though I'd say the same for ALL of California at this point.
America would be better off it traded ALL CALIFORNIANS for all of the White South Africans so you get a functioning state again.
To be fair, a lot of us were "well he isn't Hillary" about Trump in 2015 before he started proving himself more than just a meme in it for the attention.
Newsom has a lot more legit negatives going for him than Trump did back then, but that was the defining element of supporting him for a not small number of us.
Newson has been eyeing presidency since the last Trump admin.
He can't go long enough without a major controversy to manage. The recent fires will absolutely cripple 2028 for him because lots of the rich Lefties who fund Dem candidates also lost in it and will remember that.
Can you imagine the campaign against him?
I'd say worth it for the lulz but we've seen that backfire a couple of times.

He literally cannot read, his dyslexia is so severe that it prevents it without herculean effort, and he has said that on record multiple times.
Which sucks for him and that is awful, but its an easy dunk both as a campaign move and to fuck him up hard in any debates.
