Sony, the game publisher that could EASILY dominate the entertainment market with it's assets but has the dumbest managers around.
I mean what's the motive behind hiring ideological failures.......hang on, brb got to talk to Big Balls looking at USAID.
Sony freaked out when Microsoft acquired Activision and has made ZERO attempt at making a popular franchise. They know what they’re doing when they pump out utter garbage “Sony exclusives”. Whoever is in charge in Japan needs to gut Sony America if they don’t want to be irrelevant in a decade.
Essentially this is, for anyone who's seen me comment enough, what pisses me off about Sony Entertainment.
They could EASILY make a franchise like Killzone more popular as the last one Shadow Fall had a lackluster story but multiplayer was solid and simply hop in not worrying about 'meta loadouts' and the like.
Their Crunchyroll service, could easily be the primary way to see anime if their UI wasn't so shit and quit fucking with censorship.
They have all the assets to make money but fuck it up, remember the PSvita?
Imagine if they made a MAG for the ps5
See THIS is the kinda shit they should be doing!
Finally have the tech to run flawless 256 simultaneous multiplayer, game studios are too lazy and gay to bother bringing it to gamers despite having a really good framework made for it 15 years ago. Modern gaming era is just sad.
I went to look something up as that reminded me of something
Apparently, Planetside 2 can handle 2000 players at once so there really isn't an excuse for MAG not to come back.
And you can cram ~200 of those into one of the bigger buildings and have a fight that goes absolutely nowhere...
I think PS2 might have given me the most fun I've ever had in a shooter, when the fights were good, but it has an inordinate amount of 'downtime' in certain fights.
Look into Sony getting paid by the government?
The BBC did so why not Sony?
Big balls resigned from the DOGE already.
Apparently not, ironically by democratic vote on X, Big Balls is back baby! Lol.
You're telling me that the company making a game with a modern day girlboss protagonist in a medieval time period has been hiring people for DEI reasons?
I am absolutely shocked.
"Working"
We might have to do a better job railing against this mess than we did with KCD2. This has dipshit normie success written all over it.
Female “samurai” after a failed AC Shadows is going to rub even normies the wrong way. Absolutely no one wanted this.
Always.. ugly ass asian female chars.
Boomers still haven't figured it out. There is no such thing as a "failed" video game developer. There is no such thing as "bad" experience in Big Tech. It is much better to have a stinker like Concord or Veilguard on your resume than to have nothing at all. The fact that you were even hired to work on a lagship product like that is going to impress your next employer.
It doesn't matter how well those game sold. Nobody ever blames an individual for a game flopping. It is always "the leadership" that gets the blame and the leaders (investors) are mostly anonymous. They have all the money in the world and the bear zero responsibility.
Blackrock doesn't want EA to make good games. They want EA to promote anti-western values. These guys don't care about making money. They get interest-free loans from the FED and loan that money in turn to all the woke studios. The soooner y'all understand it the better.
I'm looking at your work history, what did you do at EA?
"I worked on a AAA game!"
Which one?
"Dragon Age Veil-"
Thank you, no further questions.
Ghost of yotei was always going to be trash. At least the first one was good.
Its a real shame because, despite a few bad bumps, the first game was written rather good and overall probably one of the funnest action combat systems in a long time. If they let you kill bow girl instead of her getting away and didn't include last second lesbian I'd call it one of the greats.
Everything about this sequel seems designed both maliciously and poorly. It has made fundamental choices that take away from the things that made the original actually work and standout from the games it copied, and that cannot be coincidence.
All a shame.
