He at least has permanent resident status, I assume he's gotten his citizenship by now
The site also notes that the judge was born in Medellin, Columbia, and arrived in the U.S. when he was just 9 years old on a tourist visa. He remained in the country and lived undocumented for 15 years before obtaining lawful permanent resident status, the site added.
From what I read he has citizenship now, but his parents brought him in illegally at age 9.
EDIT

So I assume since then he's gotten full citizenship? He got PR at age 24, Daily Mail says he's 41 now so I assume in 17 yrs you can get full citizenship?
Fucking amazing that you can just be a judge in a country you don't have citizenship in.
How the hell is that even possible?
Judge is an elected office in some places. Probably don't need much more than proof of residence to get on the ballot.
Story says he got permanent resident status long ago so he's at least that, but I assume he's gotten his citizenship since.
America is a third world country, that is how.
