Honestly, hiring people to grind for him so that he can play top-tier when he has time to play is not a problem. Being a whiny, dishonest little bitch about it instead of just admitting it up front is the problem.
Also, I think there's a time and a place. Sure, get powerleveled...if you know how to play the game and have done it before, and just want to skip the grind. My own personal opinion of course, but no one should be powerleveling in PoE2...yet.
I haven't seen Elon play Diablo, but I caught some of the controversial PoE2 scam stream and, yeah...he had no freaking clue what he was doing. That does make it worse, in my opinion. He 'skipped the grind'...which was actual gameplay and maybe even tutorials and stuff. I don't see the point of that. Do the grind once, then get leveled next time if you want.
But, yeah, lying and whining was the biggest issue, I agree.
I remember watching the Runaway Guys do a let's play of Star Fox 64, where Emile was ostensibly playing the game for the first time. In order to speed along the process, Jon and Tim played the routes up to the levels he hadn't gotten to yet, without him having to play all the stages along the route, like you're supposed to. As such, when he got to the boss of Area 6, the penultimate boss of the hard route, he got his chassis kicked. Immediately, he complained that the boss was badly designed.
And I was just thinking "My guy. You have skipped over the majority of the gameplay you're expected to have done to reach this point. YOU are badly designed!"
I don't care one of the richest man on the planet pays other people to level his characters or get items in videogames.
I care that he lies about it to ''how do you do fellow gamers'' PR political bullshit.
That alone wouldn't be much to bitch about. But his support for mass-importing foreing workers ( H1b visas, immigration ) is a much larger concern and will taint my perception of the ''pretend gamer'' stuff.
I hope he isn't allowed anywhere other than firing useless federal employees with DOGE.
The problem is Trump also wants high immigration. ''But legally!''
All that but the biggest one for me is hopping on the MAGA bandwagon at a late hour, and fairly quickly calling for "muh racists" to be removed from the movement.

We learned a lesson (hopefully), at least. Next time we need to specify if a candidate is America First, or Americans First.
Don't get me wrong, America First is still a massive improvement to the status quo, and it will help Americans. But it's still very different than Americans First, which would be the correct way to lead the nation.
If we're going to 'run America like a business,' it has to be either a private business that isn't obligated to shareholders and can be mission driven, or a public business where all Americans are the only shareholders.

Well, at least he admitted it. How many leftists have admitted they're wrong?

I'm sure someone who lies about something so trivial and easy to disprove is completely trustworthy in all other areas of his life.
For a second there i read it as assasins, and thought that cool way to burn money haha
He didn't say I pay others to be good at video games for me.
He said I'm in the top ten characters on Diablo 4.
Which is very different.
I wouldn't have cared if he was in the top ten, or top one thousand. It's not that big a deal in a game that is genuinely not fun at all.
But he said he did it, then recanted after it was proven that it was not him.
Which is just weird and sad.
Pretty sure that is against TOS..
Probably why he had to lie.
Only nerds are surprised a man running multiple companies doesn't have time to trivially grind in video games.
