A traffic ticket is money that you owe the state. Of course they’re going to take that more seriously than someone injuring a non-state party. Same reason the government takes vigilantism more seriously than standard murder.
Because bad governments are basically mafias. Except a real mafia would have buried this bitch for harming a child in their community.
At least if you do what the Mafia says they'll leave you alone 9/10. The US government might decide to set you up and fuck you over and kill your family just because.
Its also why they will jail and destroy your ass over child support where they get to skim money, but couldn't give a damn about literal lying on official documents (paternity fraud) or the child even being given some of that money.
It's not my "job" to steer anyone to any particular news source, hence why I posted the picture. If you really want to know more there's plenty of information (like the perps name) for you to use your search engine of choice and read more from your news source of choice.
screenshots are easily faked and are the tools of well poisoners. this forum was founded on complaining about lack of journalistic integrity, what are we if we don't source our claims?
However you want to source your claims is up to you, but you should source them. some of my favorite methods include:
archive of article/tweet/wherever you got it
link to article/tweet/ wherever you got it. not as good as archive because it can be scrubbed, but better than nothing.
archive link/bibliography included in screenshot.

I just want to repost random jpegs that I find on the internet
in the age of the internet, jpegs and videos of faked conversations are rampant. the only way you can defend against this is if you post your sources.
telling people to just look it up is not enough, especially when the information is filtered through those search engines that you mentioned. time and time again they have shown to be biased and hide information.
stop being lazy
stop projecting. it takes 2 seconds to copy and paste a link, and you are lazy if you don't
You're telling us to quit being lazy and take responsibility when you're the one who couldn't be bothered to even link to where you got the screenshot from? It's just a courtesy dude.
Is this her son, or just some random boy? I'm guessing it's some privacy law protecting minors, but this whole framing is absurd and confusing. Did she abduct some random kid she knew from the neighborhood, or was it her own child? I'm guessing the latter, but it's just that, a guess.
McGovern went on to claim that the boy was missing, prompting a large-scale hunt for him involving 80 police officers, the force helicopter, and mountain rescue and coastguard personnel.
Putting aside the monstrous actions themselves, you'd think they would have at least nailed her for wasting police resources. They take that shit much more seriously than little things like attempted murder and child abuse.
First offender McGovern was assessed as being at a low risk of reoffending and someone who did not present a risk to the public.
Someone at low risk of reoffending wouldn't have offended in such a heinous and obviously unstable manner in the first place, numskulls.
...the child but he was only found 24 hours later when a man out walking his dog heard the youngster crying.
Major props to this dude. It was just right time, right place, but he's a hero.
Now... the excuses...
Lord Young said that she had suffered from clinical depression and anxiety linked to low self-esteem for many years but had made "great strides" towards getting her life together.
A bunch of people do, nowadays. They don't go out and try to murder children.
He said that she had weaned herself off illicit drugs, which was greatly to her credit, and her mental health had improved significantly.
Don't care; she was either giving the kid drugs directly, inadvertently exposing him, or giving him access. There's a limit to tolerance for this sort of thing, and she's well past it.
A hair sample revealed that the youngster was exposed to drugs from late June 2022. Mr Cameron said: "It is not possible to say with any greater precision when that exposure was nor in what quantity. The findings were, however, consistent with exposure on more than one occasion."
Yeah. Nope. Go directly to jail. At least.
Defence counsel John Scullion KC said: "The accused recalls feeling a sense of panic and describes feeling that something flipped in her mind that day."
That's the defense. These people have no shame.
He said that McGovern was "a vulnerable individual" who was introduced to cocaine...
The defence counsel said: "I think it is plain that she bitterly regrets her lifestyle when using cocaine and the impact of the drug on her personality, culminating in these offences."
Again, no excuse. Some murderers regret their actions...and she almost managed to promote herself to murderer anyway. Would it still be fine, if she'd succeeded it getting rid of the kid, but still regretted it?
He said that she had taken steps to deal with the drug problem that had blighted her life for several years and added: "She has had mental health issues throughout her adult life, issues with anxiety and depression."
Boo-hoo.
Mr Scullion said: "The author of the report confirms she displays shame and remorse for the pain and suffering she has caused, which, in my submission, is both *genuine and profound."
No mention of another parent, assuming she is the mother of the boy. I wonder if they decided it would be too "traumatic" to separate the two if there was no other guardian figure for him. In any case, this decision could end up equating to leaving the boy in the woods.
There was a recent case where children were removed by CPS for being allowed to walk home from school. I can't see how it would be too "traumatic" to separate this kid from the whore that abandoned him coked-up in the woods. Then again, the same gov't let her walk free, so anything is possible.
A judge told her at the High Court in Edinburgh that they were "extremely serious offences".
Lord Young said: "Because of the significant harm caused to this child, a custodial sentence would be the norm."
He said that he remanded her in custody following a previous court appearance when she pleaded guilty because he anticipated that he would be imposing a jail sentence on her.
Sounds like the judge started out doing his job responsibly then got his dick wet.

But God help you if you don't pay that speeding ticket, or they'll put out a warrant on your ass!
And people wonder why nobody respect the politicians, judges, lawyers or cops.

FTFY
"I think of a man and I take away reason and accountability"
The police have better things to do like hunt down pet squirrels. They don’t have time for this trivial nonsense.
Didn't you hear? Adult women are not responsible for their actions. They are just as much a victim as the victim
source?

Archive of the local news talking about it.
Thanks. That story is insane. The judge was "persuaded" not to give her jail time? Persuaded how??
Fellow pedophile
thank you for doing OP's job for him

Take some agency and responsibility for yourself.

if that's the case, you are part of the problem
Maybe in the days of hard print. Now we have search engines, dude.
Type "Ashley McGovern" into a search engine and take your pick. It's not complicated. Quit it with the lazy excuses.

I'm not asking anyone to trust me, I'm saying "Look it up for yourself."
Quit being a lazy cunt. I'm not your secretary. Look it up yourself. It's that simple, loser.

East Lothian, well shit, it's not like she did something crazy and dangerous like criticizing the immigrant population.
