Diageo

Imagine my shock.

They own a shit ton of stuff, including J&B, which did that tranny ad, and they also throw their weight around when it comes to advertising, and tried to get Rumble to cancel Crowder and Alex Jones and such. They were also big in GARM, and were doing the same through them.

They're toxic sludge.

Well fuck, now I know what the Budweiser drinkers felt during the Dylan nonsense. Guinness was my go to at random restaurant I'm at, but that's a luxury easily dropped.

Guinness belongs to Diageo, an extremely woke and far-left corporation.

Look at it this way: what better way to stick it to the left than to boycott their slop products and live a healthier life? ;)

A boycott won't do a lot for my health or their bottom line. I don't drink a lot of whisky (averaged out over a year, I probably have about an ounce or two a week). What it will do is make me drink more scotch (not one of their brands) and less bourbon. At least until I find another bourbon I like in that price range.

Reject commercial beers, embrace homebrewing

There are plenty of heritage beers that essentially do no marketing at all, and of course with no marketing there is no DEI crap.

Americans that think they're Irish.

It's an interesting subject because there are more people who celebrate their Irish heritage outside of Ireland than in it. Even more interesting is how many traditions have been brought back to Ireland or changed because of that. The pumpkin instead of the turnip. The constant references to to Samhein, which follows Irish traditions and doesn't get pronounced like it's spelled, or Halloween. St Patrick's day wasn't much of anything until the American Celebrations went over the top.

The same happens for my native Germany. I recently found out Oktoberfest is Bavarian, which explains why I never remember celebrating it. If you want a German holiday, celebrate Christmas. I still don't know how we get candles in trees safely. The only thing celebrated by Argentines is the fact that we're better than everyone else at football.

It's sort of what I studied and taught about as an academic. Fascinating, but too many people wanted me to choose a loser and winner.

That's because there are more Irish descendants outside of Ireland now than there are the native population back in the country.

Because the ones that left didn't continue to suffer a famine, nor then go through a local civil war for decades, both of which suppressed population growth. All the while the ones who left bred like rabbits.

Oh wow, it's Ronon and Sheppard.

Anyway, 'All you need is the spirit' - if anyone who identifies are Irish is Irish, can you tell me what is an Irishman.

Why are we, among all white people, so targeted by Americans for actual unironic cultural appropriation.

Ronon and Sheppard

Momoa is very generous to those who helped him get his break. Game of Throne may be his most recognised role, at least for normies, but Stargate Atlantis put him on the map for a lot of geeks and to this day he's still very close with Joe Flanigan.

The comments are so positive. Are we the bad guys or are people just that blind?

Probably don't realize the subtext with regards to Irelands immigration problem.

As a non-American (with more than 2% Irish ancestry, if that matters), dear lord that whole ad is cringe…
