There is a truth that is very difficult to accept: the media doesn't tell you the whole truth, often tells you a complete lie, is in lockstep with every other major media company, and only operates to the benefit of unelected elites (and yes, that includes Fox News).
most people are not even aware of this truth, many more have heard rumblings but have not been shown anything convincing and so they dismiss it. Few have been shown enough evidence or have looked into a deep enough to see the truth. Among those few there are two camps: the ones who accepted, and the ones who reject it despite the truth being blindingly obvious.
it's appropriate to hate the people who see the truth and reject it, but everyone else simply needs to be taught. If you hate them, they will reject you and the media keeps on spinning.
Am I the only one that is shocked on how much dmg control the left is doing on this campaign stunt? They are not gaining anything from being desperate, why was it worth the effort? Is Kamala doing that bad?
Yes, Kamala is doing that bad. She had a disastrous interview with Brett Bair on Fox recently, barely had any rallies beforehand, was proven to be using a teleprompter during interviews (thus everything she says can be determined to be scripted instead of organic), and to top it all off is blatantly stealing campaign points from Trump agenda and calling it her own.
Her entire run is apocalyptically bad. The only way she'll win is thru a combination 'vote blue no matter who' retards and cheating like last time, which there's already reports from early voting states that that is happening.
To echo this, I have had about a half-dozen normies/light lefties in my social circle openly comment about how "they don't feel that Kamala is ready/don't feel she treated Joe properly", and that they might not vote for her. That's a pretty big sign she's not drawing the same fervor that she's projecting she is.
Of course, the repeated cases of her faking crowds at her events shows that, too.
It's more likely the stock dropped due to a lack of a portion of daily income, seeing as Lizzo was busy addressing Detroit on Kamala's behalf and had her second lunch cut short.
McDonalds is hitting a new all time high almost every market day. Over the past 20 trading sessions MCD has closed higher in 14 of them.
In any case Newsweek makes the classic newbie stock trading mistake by assuming this news is not already priced into MCD stock value. It has been for some time.
For broader perspective and comparison within the industry:
Even assuming it was true, I'd bet a lot of people caught onto the "bring back tallow" discussion it brought up and are now holding off on going there until they get the good shit back.
McDonald's is a real estate company in a burger wrapper. Until its franchisees report their earnings for the current quarter, the company won't know how well this publicity stunt actually did. Daily stock movement is fake and gay.
if I'm reading that right, that means McDonald's actually beat the market when Trump pulled the stunt.
we know it's retarded, they know it's retarded, they know we know they know it's retarded. but their retarded readers will gobble it up nonetheless.
Exactly. We hate the media enough. Any excess hate should be directed at every dipshit normie who still believes them.
No we don't. We'll never hate the media enough.

They gotta at all costs, make the race look close, so when the [Fortify] slams down, there can be some plausibility to the moderates.

Yeah the market moves more than that most days. This is noise

For broader perspective and comparison within the industry:
McDonalds: -0.53%
Chipotle: +0.52%
Yum (Taco Bell, KFC, Pizza Hut): -0.2%
Cava: +0.72%
Dominos: +0.57%
WIngstop: -0.61%
Shake Shak: -0.05%
Wendys: -2.23%
Jack In The Box: -0.7%
Papa Johns: -0.16%
Krispy Kreme: -1.04%
Looks like normal daily variances to me.
Of course, they probably think stocks only go up unless there's some catastrophe.
Even assuming it was true, I'd bet a lot of people caught onto the "bring back tallow" discussion it brought up and are now holding off on going there until they get the good shit back.
It's McDonald's, the average consumer is just trying to get their slop and go home. No one cared Trump had a photo op there.

McDonald's is finished
Newsweek not only had the hot scoop that Trump's McDonald's fry cook thing may have been pre-planned they also reported it's likely the Trump playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers picture MAY have been AI generated: https://x.com/Newsweek/status/1848399775260963246
