I'm not that big on Dragon Quest myself, but goddamn, I would never touch anything that disrespects Toriyama's art this badly.
It’s just so bad… this is the equivalent of a woman wearing flesh toned shorts and top under a bikini…
Which is bizarre, because the female Warrior had several cameos in later games wearing black censor shorts and top. I'm not excusing it, but it would at least match her leggings. The tan color is just hideous.
Would look better in red
This happens when the social media sphere is overrun by censorious SJWs and half the "right wing" are constantly saying "I actually like the censored version better", just so they do not look like coomers.
Part of the censorship apologist's list of bullshit:
And so on...
I hate all of these. If you make a remake you would want to leave the original vision in, this is just someone taking the crayons out of their mouth and scribbling all over that original vision.
Cowards are followers, that same segment of the "right" was anti-Trump until they had no other choice. Which I guess...I'm gonna need to vomit after saying this...but that speaks more favorably of the character of hardcore NeverTrumpers than it does of the GOPe hacks who pretend to support MAGA.
Point being, wokies are bullies, and cowards follow bullies, which unfortunately means that the only way to counter wokies is to be better than them at bullying. Use their own swarming tactics against them, make their lives hell, but most importantly, be funny while you're doing it. They've already defamed you as much as they possibly can, so be everything they claim you are, be the wolf that finally shows up when nobody's listening anymore.
It's exactly how we keep losing ground to these cultural marxists and have previous products of escapism ruined. Their concern for moral puritanism supersedes the need to win, which is ironic given that quite a few of them will also tout forgoing principals in this cultural war.
It's such lazy censorship too. They kept most of the shading the same as before they drew the undies, so they look painted on. It doesn't really make her less sexy. It just detracts from the overall design.
"Let's just slap a tan sports bra and gym shorts on and call it a day"
It's not just censorship, it's the laziest low effort censorship possible.
Funny how the underwear makes this character look like a tranny, esp the boxer briefs.
The man has pass and drop all those into the deeepest pits that that mess with his art.
I hate it.
What's up with the cock armor?
I never beat the early Dragon Quest. Which game is she from? The best I could find seems to be a generic, unnamed, female party member in Dragon Quest 3 with the Warrior job.
Why is there dong armor in either image? If they are going to censor something, they should remove that.
It's an armored loincloth that gives her the impression she's not wearing any underwear. A kick or a tumble and you can see everything. It's a toss-up between her and the Priest's skin-tight orange bodysuit for lewdest female design.
Early Dragon Quest games were pretty lewd, because Toriyama himself was pretty lewd. From DQ9 onward you can see everything becoming "safe" as Toriyama delegated most of the character design to his assistants.
See, this is a fair question. That's the first thing I was thinking.
"Oh, this armor? It's to protect my giant Gaad Sad dick."
Codpiece. I'm thinking you're in for a surprise gender reveal.
