It's actually way worse than Jan 6. You could argue that they're on restricted grounds. These people have done literally nothing. Some have just commented online.
Xi Jiping is a better man than the rulers of England.
Mostly. They are entirely copying the Jan 6 playbook, but our government can't get around 1st Amendment protections easily.
That hasn't stopped the government from persecuting people who weren't even at the capitol with long sentences and massive felonies.
We are definitely seeing the UK court system break their own laws to incarcerate innocent people for as long as possible. The sweeping level of guilty pleas leading to years in prison for things that aren't illegal tells me that the attorneys themselves are being directed to give "ineffective assistance of counsel" as we saw in some of the early J6 cases as well.
We are seeing the same kangaroo courts out of the UK. I understand that there are some people advocating for jury trials, but you need to understand that, as with DC, the juries will argue for the death penalty. The death penalty being illegal is irrelevant, they will react as heavily and as violently as possible, to the point that the courts will actively have to restrain them (as they did here). They will be lynching juries because of the innate bias of the jurists and the media.
The next thing you can expect is torture, a few additional suicides (both in and outside of custody) and in-prison murders by fellow inmates. You'll probably also hear stories about mandatory brain-washing programs. For example, many J6 dissidents was required to read, memorize, and recite Leftist books before prosecutors would allow them to meet for negotiations for plea deals. Literally: "you will read this book, then the next time we meet we will ask you to provide us with a quote from the book based on our description of the passage; then and only then will we consider allowing you to plead guilty to a lesser charge. Until then, we will be asking for 6 felonies to be served consecutively".
Torture will also be a common occurrence, as it is here. This will include sleep deprivation, denial of medical services, and extreme times in solitary confinement. You will probably see your dissidents intentionally placed with jihadis who will beat, rape, kill, or poison them. This will then be used as justification for the prisoner's safety to keep them in 23 hour a day solitary confinement (they will get 1 hour outside their cell). If a single instance of bad behavior occurs, it will be shifted to 24 hour-a-day solitary confinement for an indefinite period. Any injuries sustained from the original attack will not be treated until hospitalization is required. We also have reports of dissidents being forced to sleep in cells over-flowing with 2 feet of raw sewage. Expect dissidents to be intentionally placed in the worst possible prisons, with the worst possible maintenance records, with the most cases of abuse.
For the most part, the MAGA protestors have succeeded in lessening torture and abuse, frankly, through Christianity. They are a extremely spiritual bunch at this point, and have regular prayer meetings, sing hymns, are very well behaved, and regularly show kindness to their captors. I really have to emphasize Jesus like grace and mercy to their oppressors. This has worked well enough that the prison staff and wardens (who are typically violently biased against them) tend to become placated after a few months in prison, sometimes even getting correction officers to pray with them. It is extremely critical to maintain "Spiritual Fitness" and "Moralization" among the dissidents, and outside support helps a lot. This means that communication and monetization routes will have to be developed with the outside world.
To be clear, these strategies are being countered by the government by rapidly moving prisoners from prison to prison without warning or explanation, to keep any of them from settling down and developing relationships. Speaking about conditions or giving interviews is often also criminalized which leads to added time. This benefits the court because it means that even if an appeal goes through, they will keep you in prison for additional sentences like (for example) assaulting a corrections officer.
Don't get too black-pilled about all this. I will remind you that the Left are fully aware that most of the major political radicals that created the societies we live in today were held in prison. Believe it or not, the prison is a catch-22. They know good and god damned well that long-term incarceration could cause the development of sophisticated, radical, resistance against them.

That only sounds to me like that they need to improve the conditions to be more gulag and that their reeducation attempts are failing. Which means eventually they will figure out that it is better to let them disappear rather than to keep trying to bend them, All they need to do is break their connection to each other and the outside, and then they can control the elimination process and manufacture it's ending since there are enough broken people that can fulfill the prison guard role for the new gulag. How many of the arrested has perished?
Unfortunately, short of assassinating them and causing more political illegitimacy, those solutions aren't going to work. We can actually go to the gulag and see that many anti-Soviet resistance sprung from there, and even the IQ there is higher than the average in Russia because the Soviets kept sending intelligent people off for being dissidents. They inadvertently created the anti-parallel society with the Gulag system in place.
The government will not be able to effectively isolate people, even to the level that the Soviets had, under UK or US laws and social norms.
How many of the arrested has perished?
Of the J6'ers? Somewhere between 4-7 IIRC. And that's out of over a thousand convictions at this point.
If there is one thing the UK Government will not tolerate and will make an example of, it is dissent.
Once the extreme misogyny review and inevitable legislation comes into play, you're going to find England flag wavers, elderly grannies complaining on Facebook and unattractive, socially awkward single men all sharing prison cells that were once filled with the most (what we would consider) egregious criminals.
Good, the survivors will be tremendously radicalized and hardened by time their sentence is up. Maybe one of them will take the time to write a book about his struggle before burning the current corrupt system to the ground.
How to tell if your country is not in a good place:
Step 1, compare the jailtime and parole/bail opportunities for simply speaking crossly, and compare it to raping, murdering, and/or mass destruction of property.

When you're literally being waved into a building by cops/security it's laughable to argue it's a restricted building.
If there is one thing the UK Government will not tolerate and will make an example of, it is dissent.

There's absolutely no reason for the regime to consider pedophilia a crime, which is why it doesn't.
Why would they label thenselves as criminals?
Good, the survivors will be tremendously radicalized and hardened by time their sentence is up. Maybe one of them will take the time to write a book about his struggle before burning the current corrupt system to the ground.
That nonviolent shit'll get you killed.
When the penalty for speaking is the same as the penalty for being violent...
How to tell if your country is not in a good place:
Step 1, compare the jailtime and parole/bail opportunities for simply speaking crossly, and compare it to raping, murdering, and/or mass destruction of property.
There is no step 2.

Some are still in prison.
These police doing the arresting need to be killed, or it’ll never stop.
Correct.
England needs to burn.
Too bad. If you were radicals from 100 years ago, you’d have guns,
Thousands of Jan6th protesters have spent years in prison without trial?
First is the information war.
It can last decades.
They didn’t have guns either.
Bring back V
And the sand people walk free for stabbing in broad daylight. There is a reckoning coming. Please IRA, please IRA!
