I gave up on game informer about 8 years ago. I started noticing constant articles about women in gaming and then it got more political from there. I was a customer who simply wanted to read about the latest games, not that the editor was upset because a game didn’t explore his world views
Always end-up watching a video of some gameplay by a FUCKING WHITE MALE anyway to know if a game interests me.
Games' journalism has lost most of its relevance. Wokeness made most of it agressively repulsive, and a tool to brow-beat game developpers into shitting-up their games with Intersectional bullshit.
They were never my favorite. EGM rules all in my opinion. GI always put in whatever message was popular among the big companies and rarely ever spoke against them. They were an ad, but honest about it.

Wanting to read about games in a game magazine is a hate crime. Report to the re-education center.
Ha! How evil of me
It all started with Gamer Gate.
Well, considering you're here, the math makes sense.
prolly got bought by Elsevier
Kotaku next, pretty please?
That Alyssa MerCunty thing is long overdue for a karmic bitch slap.
LONG fucking overdue.
Imagine a world where deserving people got Karmic bitch slapped!
I'd even look forward to my just deserts if others got theirs.
Game informer was nothing but an ad booklet you paid for. Good riddance.

Even without that, the internet made it needless. Devs just post shit themselves online and so can anyone.

This is a weird feeling. I was subscribed to them on-and-off for many years, starting in 1996.
But it seems they'd gone more and more woke, so...bye.
Only reason I subscribed was 4 years ago when I bought a used Nintendy. A full year was $1 with the purchase.
Who else said “LOL”?
Game Informer still existed?
