According to these sources:

  • The speech for stepping down has already been written, and Biden will make the announcement this weekend.
  • Kamala Harris will NOT be endorsed by Joe Biden
  • Biden Staff Sources claim they do not want a "Kamala Coronation"
  • The DNC will be openly accepting new candidates, and the pledged delegates to Biden will be released
  • Kamala is ALREADY seeking running mates
  • Kamala's staff believe they will be able to keep the money donated to the Biden-Harris campaign

I don't think Kamala can actually keep that money. They are probably wrong about that.

They probably can't, but who's going to stop, them?

It's certainly an odd situation. What else can happen to the funds? 100% to the big guy?

That's actually what I was thinking he would do: stay on the ticket, lose the election, and basically pocket most of the money. And to be clear, that's a very Biden strategy.

As I understand, because Biden isn't on the ticket, it's not actually Harris' campaign, and the money has to be refunded to the donors, who would then re-donate it back to whatever campaign they choose.

I believe that according to campaign financing laws, at least some of that money, based on how it was raised, can only be spent if Kamala's name remains on the ticket. Whoever does end up being nominated may have to keep her as VP.

That may be the case.

Then again, I think the Dems are prepared to break the law, not just their own procedures, to keep that money.

They would without a second thought if they were confident of winning. But a Trump DOJ might actually do something about it.

The source is saying that Biden will not step down fully from the presidency, just not run for re-election. In fairness, that is kinda my screw up.

I remember reading about this scenario on ZeroHedge a few weeks ago, and it suggested she had to be the presidential candidate - https://www.zerohedge.com/political/kamalas-ace-hole-91-million-biden-harris-campaign-fund

But same article had 1 expert suggest that it might be open to interpretation by Federal Election Commission. Given the DNC's track record of successful corruption, I'm inclined to think they'll manage to keep the war chest even if she ends up being VP again.

Yeah, that's my concern. I really don't know what they're going to do, because the law doesn't have much value to the DNC.

Interested to see if this is true or not.

I admit that I'm wrong if he steps down. I believed that he would stay even to watch the party die, but it may be that he's gotten hit by so many people that he's got no choice.

I guess we'll see this weekend.

However, I get the distinct feeling that the DNC is going to be fucking wild. Like, 1968 levels of wild. The Pro-Hamas Progressives might right to try and force the vote for their favored candidate id "Genocide Joe" is stepping down.

Trump just needs to do what Nixon did, and hold a rally the following week.

The Demo-Boomers really are trying to relive their glory days.

Yeah I honestly have no interest in RNC this year (except briefly to see Trump come out the other day) but I might actually watch the DNC to watch the fireworks. If the dems were smart they'd put RFKJr on the ticket but they hate him as much as they hate Trump.

I'm not entirely convinced that RFK wouldn't just jump back into the primary.

I think they hate him, but he repeats so many establishment talking points, it's hard for me to believe he wouldn't be a patsy.

The fact that the democrats only gave him secret service protection two days ago, after turning him down multiple times (and even then, only doing it cause Trump got shot) hopefully makes RFK just say "screw you" to them even if they try to get him back.

It would probably be his only real chance to win election.

Kamala was very unpopular in the democrat primaries despite the media hype. They are so married to DEI they wouldn’t dare remove a black/Indian woman. Only thing I fear is a media that is excited with a fresh ticket that will carry the water more than they did for Obama.

Unless they can get another black woman for the ticket. Or, at least someone perceived as a black woman.

Now which big, strong girldick-haver would you be referring to, here?

I don't think all of the donor class are married to DEI, they're just saying they do. Kamala genuinely does have some zealots, though.

She absolutely does, but I doubt she is anywhere near as popular as the media wants everyone to think she is.
