Always will be too. States seek self preservation over principles stances. And any state that manages to be created with the principles first (Like the USA) will inevitably come to a point when the state will have to face those principles or abandon those principles to preserve itself at the cost of the people.
It's how they've perverted the entire system. It helps cops catch worthless low level criminals. It helps DAs win rates. It helps politicians talk about how many images were taken offline.

The other horrific thing is the NCEMC does is whenever they find a known image of a child being abused, and they have previously identified the child, they notify them whenever they find one of these images. I guess because they like victimizing them several times more after they did fuck all to help them in the first place.

This. In fact any bans/censoring should be required to come with a public statement of the reason, opening the company up to those charges if untrue.
