Blackrock and Disney will keep funding it. Doesn't matter if the views get into 6 digits.
Every person who owns a TV in the UK, even if all they use it for is to play video games, is forced to pay a loicense which subsidies everything the BBC produces.
It's basically the communist model of "entertainment". I'd argue Netflix and whatnot are similar because they can subsidize woke propaganda that nobody watches since their customers pay into the model to watch 90s sitcoms and older movies.
The woke activists get paid, can pad their resume, and can even pretend they did a valuable service to society. What's better is the viewer numbers are hidden away in private data centers instead of public info like TV ratings
Good. Shows their incompetence in trying to brainwash the masses as well as writing a story.
Paying for a show to spread the narrative when no one is actually watching the show is waste of money, and even Disney doesn't have infinite money. I hope they pay for 10 more seasons upfront, but probably not even Disney is retarded enough for that.
That is the problem. While you see lots of layoffs, inflation high, drug and immigration problems, Blackrock investors prefer to give money to fund woke medium. And it just turns out they have billions to spend in this crap. So, unless viewership drops to 400K or less, they will continue to fund this. I mean look at Batwoman.
They are basically pumping this woke garbage out and need to hold for a generation. The younger generations will see it as normal, even the race washed historical stuff. Now social media is a counter to this, which is why they are obsessed with locking it down.
Lol there are YouTube channels with free content that have more viewiership than this shit. That's fuckin hilarious.
But isn’t the counter argument that due to streaming you’ll never get the numbers like a MASH or Seinfeld finale again? But even with streaming Dr Who used to pull much better numbers. I had co-workers who loved Tenant and Smith and it made them go watch classic Who starting with Hartnell
It’s like they refuse to learn from Luther. You can create unique roles even copy pasting classic character's traits onto a new actor/actress, JUST DONT PRETEND THEYRE THE CLASSIC CHARACTER.
Luther was a good show, and they made an original character, but I remember that show was attacked because he wasn't ethnic enough. I've mentioned before that I love pre diversity obsession BBC and will always jump on any older program.
Fun fact: John Barrowman, who is gay and played Captain Jack Harkness on Doctor Who, auditioned for the role of a gay man on the sitcom Will and Grace.
According to Barrowman, he did not get the role because HE WASN'T GAY ENOUGH.
He was a good character and with Torchwood I just fast forwarded through the gay romance scenes. I never saw Will and Grace and never heard that story but doesn’t surprise me
So, never watch Torchwood, gotcha. Thank you.
The show came out before I became sick and tired of all that stuff so I didn’t mind as long as I cut out certain parts. Now I probably wouldn’t watch
I've said it before, remembering any gay sex scene from the post-obama transformation in media is like losing The Game.
The only way to win is to get a handle on the places and situations you lose The Game in and totally avoiding them forever.
I remember that. Luther needed to eat more black foods and have more black friends according to higher ups.
it already has a smart black man with strong morals and his wife is a smart pajeet, the bad guys are huwites, I quit after two episodes because I couldn't stand the diversity propaganda but apparently that still wasn't promoting diversity enough
Is it ever enough for these clowns?
Have you listed your favourite older BBC series? I'd be interested, particularly anything that isn't well known but still torrentable.
I haven’t but I guess I could make some suggestions. I’m Tubi I’m currently watching a show called Hamish Macbeth. 90s show that takes place in a small Scottish village and the lead character is the constable
But no one is really watching the shit on streaming platforms either.
Because no one -- surprise --- wants to watch shit.
This is really hard to watch. Both the shows and what's happening to them.
So don't do it. There is nothing there but a demented, degenerate travesty wearing the skin-suit of something long dead.
Go watch older Doctor Who shows and radio dramas. Ignore the modern, embrace what’s good.
I haven't done the radio dramas yet.
The take-home message is clear: they need to re-edumacate you better through the power of entertainment and television and quadruple down harder!
I stopped watching when the doctor became a woman. Just ruined the story by forcing it.
And little did we know how much they'd double down instead of listening to the target audience. Didn't like a grrlboss Karen? Well take this gay black man instead!
The silver lining for me is enjoyment watching the Critical Drinker eviscerate that content in his reviews.
I stopped watching after the big anniversary special where they reset his regenerations. That made it clear they weren't interested in telling a story with a definite ending, only in milking the franchise until it was no longer profitable.
I'm just wondering how much lower the series can go once the current guy is done with. How much gayer and nonwhite can they pull off? It'll probably have to be some full CG of just a dancing black dick and balls wearing a bra and hair weaves, poking out of a glory hole cut in the Tardis.
Speaking of Doctor Who, Matt Smith is Milo in Morbius (2022), plus there's a character named Dr. Morbius in Doctor Who. Does that mean it's canon to the MCU (Morbius Cinematic Universe)
Thank you for enlightening us with your words of wisdom. So glad you are here with such biting commentary.
Fine. Keep being edgy with your trolling. Good day
