Yeah the CIA has been responsible for instigating more shit than anyone else by a country mile. Just the stuff we have proof of and they've admitted to is horrendous, and every time it comes out, nobody is punished and they never stop. The US federal government is unsalvageablely corrupt.

It’s just so easy. Once you control the media you control the opposition and all you have to do is pick a topic that is hot but with an objectively clear answer (let’s say, abortion) and then post media hit pieces on opposite sides “educating” watchers/readers about this horrible thing. Then post hit pieces calling the opposition wrong and evil. Then give people power to shut down whatever topics on social media they don’t agree with and suddenly you have thousands of useful idiots that serve up hot and fresh propaganda for free.
Honestly? I suspect very few individuals, but only because I think programmers and not influencers are more bang for the buck. Way better return on robots than humans, and many of the responses I see have similar enough wording that I think it's likely.
With ChatGPT's public capabilities, I could easily see dead internet theory being reality. If it can produce a rough draft of a movie script then it can definitely present as a live shill on social media.
