There’s just something patronizing about token amputee.
I don't know if it's more or less insulting that her amputations are clearly the result of untreated diabetes.

An adventurer-archaeologist who'd lost a finger or two to frostbite would be one thing, but once you're losing both legs below the knee you should be retired or dead. Those runner's prosthetics are going to make her slip and fall to her death.
It's like an Uncanny Valley deal: A whole adventurer? Clearly fine. Missing a finger from frostbite and a tooth or two from a punch? Ehh, still fine. Missing an eye from a dart trap? Well, only if it's a cool eyepatch, or sewn shut, very metal, but you're on the limit.
Hook hand and peg leg? What are you, Captain Hook?! TWO peg legs? Okay, you're just fucking with me now, that's not an adventurer, it's a tragedy.
Artificial legs, arms, teeth, eyes, organs, skin, and silicon brain? Hell, sure, we can have an archeology android. That's not weird. But make ONE part of them human and you're out.
The fact that you can play as a double amputee in Forza Horizon 5 made me roll my eyes so hard I misclicked Uninstall instead of play now.

Better hope those big massive hooks don't get caught on anything that could easily trip her. And Lord help her if they break down while she's in the middle of the wilderness, which they most definitely will when she's traveling extensively through wet and muddy ground, jagged rocks, water, snow, and all other sorts of terrain they were not built for.

But it's Current EraTM, so they made one of the German assassins an Asian-New Zealander. And then they made one of the main female leads (girlboss movie, despite neither of these women actually existing) to be both selectively mute and a lesbian... Just so they could shove sign language in there.
It was... Bizarre. An utterly bizarre schlockfest. Yet the usual suspects loved it, lol.
Only the second time I've seen walkouts at a premiere I was at, though. The Swedes fucking hated it, even though it was a Swedish production. So that's at least something.
But man was it ever bad.
