KYS - The Law
If you tell someone to an hero themselves, you get banned. If the government does, well that's just compassionate pragmatism.
i see no issue with this, but of course they're going to take it too far.
Canuckstan is part of the Anglo-sphere but at its core there lies the Franco-rot. Similarly, you can look at Belgium to see the putrefactive influence.
Well on their way to Merde Assistance In Le Dying.
I was curious what people here thought of this issue. Patriots.win is very religious and I can predict they would be against it. But here?
In principle, I don't disagree that slowly dying from a crippling terminal illness could be worse than a clean death. In practice, I don't trust these people as far as I can throw them. Every time a country brings in these assisted dying laws, the laws are abused, and there's no reason to believe France will be any different.
I'd hope this is the general opinion here. They will tell people who are still fine to go kill themselves since they are too expensive to keep alive, will deny help for people because killing them will be cheaper also. It's happening in Canada already, it'll happen all over the western world with how tuingd are turning out to be.
I'm a big believer in personal responsibility, and if you want to check out... well.
I don't understand it, personally, except in certain circumstances(dementia, ect, ect), I don't necessarily like it, but I'm not going to try and stop someone from exercising their personality responsibility.
This does get a little bit thorny when they try to use depression as an excuse, and I'd much rather have the focus be on fixing that problem. But I'm beginning to wonder if fixing mental issues is becoming more and more verboten among the medical set.
The issue is when you get the fucking government involved. Then it becomes a rule. A policy. An acceptable option.
The last thing I want to do is walk into a medical office for a checkup and receive the advise of 'So, have you considered killing yourself as a solution?'
There's no good, perfect answer for this, but I'm beginning to approach the notion that state-sponsored euthanasia is a big fucking warning bell that society should be paying attention to.
Any power the government can abuse, will eventually be abused. Give them an excuse to kill someone without charging them with a crime and you're handing them an excuse to kill dissidents.
It seems to me they're just marketing the idea of killing yourself to people who never think about such things.
this is already a fundamental right of every living thing. literally every creature has the ability and right to be a complete pussy-ass bitch and throw their life away, feds need not apply.
the fact that the feds are trying to codify this officially means they're probably going to start advertising it, Canada style.
