Ah, of course he does. With Francis the opposite would have been more shocking.
These stories remind me of playing this cool Castlevania fan game called "Lecarde Chronicles 2" not long ago. In that game's backstory, a region of France is taken over by the forces of Lucifer, and all the nobles who participated in occult rituals turned into monsters and started terrorizing the land. (even the church itself - leading the pope to send you to investigate)
In a village one of the random villagers you talk to says "Our rulers were demons!"
If you like that then you should read Between Two Fires. It’s a medieval horror novel set in France during the bubonic plague and it has demons tricking people and taking over The Church and shit, very Castlevania/Berserk.
I see these articles about the need to be more welcoming, but the true church shouldn’t be accommodating you. Yes, we can welcome people and show them love but that is far different than affirming their lifestyles
Blessings and sacraments explicitly don't work like that. It's compounding sin upon sin to provide them to those are not contrite, non repentant and who define themselves solely by the evil they commit.
Morally speaking this is one of the worst heresies to ever strike the Church. A schism can't come soon enough.
“Maybe we should choose a pope from South/Central America? You know, try to be more inclusive to expand the faith. It’s not like he’s automatically going to be a heretical communist, right?”
It turns out that Marxists aren’t kidding when they claim that identities determine ideologies. The correct takeaway isn’t that you should open your nations and institutions up to people who hate you and your way of life. They won’t uphold your values while wearing a different coat of racial/ethnic paint. They will be alien and incompatible, in both appearance and ideology, and the result will be war.
He's Argentine, and opinions about him vary. He got Brazilians to now at his feet. He might be Satan. The first one was good. The second one not so much.
There are similar feelings about Che Guevera. The joke goes "why do I have his t shirt?" He's probably the most iconic Argentine in the world. He's also called Dude. Che basically translates to dude in Argentine. Imagine a politically based killer who talks like a surfer. Its really weird.
Any Catholics on here, what's the general consensus on the Vatican right now? As they clearly don't represent your beliefs anymore like the Church of England or any of those 'Christian churches' in places like NY or LA.
My own pastor was just relieved of his position* the other day because of the popes TC nonsense and the archbishop's following of that, effective suppression of the latin mass.
There is dissatisfaction, anger and hurt about what's coming out of the Vatican right now. Not just this and the stuff the pope says. But the actual structural fundamental changes since '62. They were eased under pope Benedict but Francis has reversed that. There's a sense of persecution almost with the Latin mass being suppressed.
Besides Mexicans, who for the most part are only nominally Catholic at all given their delight in sloth, thievery and parasitism, I don't know any Catholics who disagree with me on the subject.
Namely that he's a vile heretic, a servant of the evil one, and one of the worst things to happen to the Church in a long time.
Iirc he was only able to be put in because of a rule change. Ratzinger took ages to be voted in so the compromise was a rule change which later got us this antichrist.

Another day, another heresy from the fake pope.

We need another Western Schism and a war of rival Popes. Pretty sure the one loitering around the Vatican is a not so closeted atheist.
He's a South American Jesuit, so he's a communist that does what Jesuits do, subvert and destroy the church.

While it's hardly a Marxist idea that blood will out, it's certainly true. Populations will regress to the mean most of the time.
For meztizos that means child sacrifice and cannibalism.

We are so close to the Catholic church performing poly marriages.
Heretical false idol tells minions that up is down, evil is good and the word of god is malleable - surprising who, exactly?
Heretic.
Is he going to marry his choir boy?
