People aren't standing still and watching it happen. First of all, Hamas did the recent attack because of this situation: the concentration camp. Hezbollah is fighting Israel. Israel has fewer enemies than it used to.
Shit the US government has gone over there to plead the civilians' case. I would say it's the opposite of being ignored. What the world is unable to do though is punish Israel. It's not that uncommon that a genocide is carried out, and it's beyond the reach of enforcement. Nobody is able to challenge China over anything they do. This. Are conditions in Gaza miserable? Likely yes. Is much of it self-inflicted by the people in power there? Also yes.
There are reasons why all of the Arab nations around refuse to take these people in.
