I highly suggest everyone get the idea of a draft out of their heads. The military of today is not quipped to do that, logistically or operationally. It would take months to even start to induct draftees again, and there is nowhere to train them, no one to train them, and no place to put them once they graduate.
If anyone is surprised that the US Military is fishing for recruits online today, well, you are not paying attention. Speaking personally, as a retired NCO, I'm not sure I'd want to be supervising people being induced into signing up from the permanently online segment of Gen Z. Such people are incapable of being away from their phone for more than 5 minutes, and the idea of operational security is completely foreign to them.
It's the chickens coming home to roost. For decades, "our" ruling class has left America to rot to such a grave extent that it can't even produce people mentally and physically healthy enough to fight wars. It's neoliberalism eating its own tail.

And even those enlistments would be voluntary. Now take all those problems and add the fact that you now have a bunch of pissed off conscripts who were never allowed to say no. That's why the military is against the draft more than anyone. The officer class doesn't want to get fragged again like in Vietnam.
What do you mean there is no where and no one to train draftees? Just train them like regular sign ups. Every branch except the marines is missing their recruitment targets. We have the capacity for them. Yeah we can’t draft like WWII but that doesn’t mean they won’t just start snagging kids to fill in the gaps.
No bases infrastructure to do it, no people to do it, no logistical pipeline set up to equip draftees either. All this can be built, yes, but this will take time, time we are not going to get. It took half a year to build our induction pipeline in WWII, the next near peer war will be over by then.
Trying to coerce people to enlist is not a draft.

Don't worry, though, I'm sure that an offer of American citizenship will induce plenty of foreign fighters to come sign up!
Because I'm sure that's where this is leading...
Worked for the Romans.
Worked for my family as well.
So you’re saying that service guarantees citizenship? Tell me more.
I'm mentally and physically healthy enough to know I'm not fighting for the dumbasses that populate this country

as if people with actual power in politics care what "the officer class" cares about. LMAO

When has feasibility ever stopped these morons from trying it anyway?
none of the things you mentioned are real problems. easily solved. basic logistics.
small brain big pedo poopoo eaters of the USA agree.
