All they had to do was market to their customers. Why people think embracing radical garbage is the same as expanding a customer base is beyond me
because the dumbfucks staffing those positions come from universities where anything but globohomo is being (violently) suppressed.
That plus them really just being midwits gives them the impression of being part of the majority when it's really just an obnoxious 5% with the other 95% trying their hardest not to get expelled for existing.
So similar to gaming and comics where they think there are waves of females lining up at comic book stores or that the games that tend to appeal to guys are being bought in large numbers by females
The funny thing is, there probably is a horde of women that would read comic books if said comic books were actually written to cater to their tastes.
But you're never, ever going to see the comic book equivalent of Seinan and Shoujo manga. It's fucking impossible.
I used to be alot more into comics than I currently am, reading up on the background of things - how the sausage is made, so to speak.
And it's actually really fucking hard to do it well. You have to not only know how to write, but effectively translate your vision onto comic format and then act as director for your artist in question(and let's not go into some of the horrendous art artists can pass off as 'you must pay money for this'.)
I can't think of a single woman outside of japan that could do that shit.
Comics really are a weird artform that can show a display of pure skill if you succeed, and letting everyone know how shit you are if you fail.
Exactly. I don’t understand why nobody in marvel or dc saw the success of something like twilight and try to make comics that catered to women/girls
Affirmative Action has real world consequences
Not even as hard as that. Just don't market with a notorious pedophile.
True. Although I have to believe people are sick and tired of the constant lgbt push. Especially the trans stuff. Celebrating a delusion will irritate people after a while
I've been waiting for this damn to burst for nearly ten years. I'm beyond ecstatic.
Don't get too excited. Normies will tolerate just about anything so long as they can still watch sportsball and netflix while using a credit card to order doordash for $63.
I'm just waiting for the SPR to be fully depleted. Then we'll be back at $11/gal gasoline.
They despise the actual customer base
It looks like among the layoffs are "corporate and marketing roles at major U.S. offices."
Maybe they can learn to code?
maybe they can learn to brew actual beer.
Or tour the TItanic.
How about they learn to think differently.
Sacrificed on the altar of DIE
Between this whole situation, and the poor reception that Velma got earlier in the year (edit: and Rings of Power before that), we’ve been able to really trace exactly where the Overton window stands in this country over the past several months. The wider American society, outside of woke academics, very online activists and the other “usual suspects” in that movement, simply do not care for trans bullshit and simply do not care for race swapping and unoriginality of the “reverse cultural appropriation” kind either, and that’s honestly very heartening to see. Those two things are still very much on the fringe, even though it doesn’t feel like it sometimes. If they weren’t, woke ass shows and movies would be super popular and this Bud Light shit wouldn’t be happening right now. And so while any war, to include a culture war, will see victories on both sides, it’s good to see a few wins for our side and to see the woke movement have to come to grips with the fact that they’ve over-reached on some issues, since it for a while it sure felt like they could do no wrong. What we’re seeing now is how much their apparent invincibility in 2020-22 was based more in their sheer boldness at fucking over, canceling, doxxing, protesting outside private homes, and so on over those years. People didn’t agree with them, they were afraid of what they might do to them. But you can only pull duress moves like that for so long before people just get sick of it or stop being scared of it, and now the woke are only going to win on any issue if people actually agree with them on it, and what we’ve seen is that on some issues, people very clearly do not. So honestly, God bless Bud light for this over-reach. It’s very heartening to see that there is still a bit of logic and sense among the American population.
I agree. I think the pendulum is absolutely starting to swing in the other direction.
About damned time!
My take from the beginning has been this:
Bud Light is piss and always has been, along with most major brands. They were able to get big when there was no alternative but piss in the beer market but now craft breweries have made it so that you can actually get beer that you like to drink.
Up until now, they've been coasting on brand loyalty; people drink Bud Light because they always drank Bud Light. But then they went and basically called their base a bunch of trannies.
People don't like trannies.
People will tolerate trannies so long as they're outside their bubble, but even the pro-tranny crowd don't like them beyond their political utility. Trannies are far less that 1% of the population but so screetchingly noisy that they seem like 50%.
So not only did they make their loyal customers embarassed to drink their beer, they're courting a tiny market that doesn't even really drink beer and whom everyone else is embarassed to be associated with.
I honestly don't see how they're going to turn this around. Their ex-customers will easily find a new beer to drink that doesn't taste of piss; they're not coming back. They have little prospect of attracting new customers, for similar reasons. Maybe they could start again with different branding, but from now on Bud Light will be known as Tranny Fluid.
How about the exec that greenlit the suicide? And the chain of command under them? I assume the list is entirely plebs and people who did nothing wrong. Maybe I'm wrong but I doubt it
Oh nyo... Anyways.
