Lol cops literally stand around on Market Street watching dealers hand out drugs and addicts shoot up on the sidewalk. This is the epitome of only bothering people who listen to you.
Can't feel like a big man barking orders at people defying you. Can't risk that pension by going after people that might hit back and force you to escalate and get 1087'd.
Why do we have passport control and customs at our airports?
At this point it seems like a way to harass people who obey the law.
We have a country where drug use is allowed by the police in most cities.
And a country where passports can be thrown away and a military age terrorist can be welcomed in with open arms at our southern border...
It's less "people who listen" and more "people who are less likely to try to shoot you or inspire nationwide riots".

So they want nothing to do with stopping actual crimes but will stop people from doing their jobs? Sounds incredibly on-brand.
It's because if they don't arrest or prosecute people for committing crimes, those crimes don't show up on the stats. Then they can say "Look! Crime rates are going down! Please stop fleeing this sinking ship!"
It's all about trying to trick people into believing it's safe. Easier than actually making it safe.

Yes that's what I meant, a lot of leftists hoped twitter would drain Elon financially and become like a chain around his neck slowly draining him.
This rename suggests that he's going to 'kill' the brand of twitter and use the infrastructure and user base there to make an all in one platform instead without the baggage of keeping the twitter brand.
