Abadi is the founder of the Female Composer Safety League (FCSL), an organization dedicated to the empowerment of women working in the business. She has said that she is committed to exposing toxic and abusive conditions that go unchecked in composing studios.
Funny how women have built careers off alleged victim hood.
Every single step of the auditions is totally blind. They entirely won on merit.
Of all the absurdities of the clown world decade (and counting!), for me the wildest is how much of the left has just explicitly abandoned any belief that meritocracy is good. Not disagreement on whether a meritocracy exists or doesn’t in a given context, which can be a fair argument, but outright rejection of the idea that a meritocracy is even desirable or worth fighting for. A blind audition process is the perfect method for assuring there’s no bias in selection. But then they WANT bias in selection when an unbiased process doesn’t give them the results they want?
We reached the point (several years ago) where I just assume any woman is lying about this stuff. The best I will ever give them is a case like Weinstein where I guarantee that he did trade stardom for sex, but also that they took the deal willingly and only started complaining years afterwards.
Brifault's Law- a woman's word can only be counted on until they get their half of the bargain. Those girls willingly prostituted themselves for stardom, now that they've reaped the rewards and he can't hurt them anymore they cried rape.
Weinstein is sleazy as fuck, but I don't believe he forced any of them to sleep with them. Girls have been fucking powerful men for the bennies as long as humans have existed. It's literally the only reason our current vice president even has a career.
Yeah, that's one aspect of Hollywood that MeToo refuses to address even though some quietly did. It's how many women were staying totally silent on the issue which means you know for a fact there's a ton of them that fucked their way up the ladder to get where they are.
I have no sympathy for anyone involved in that shitshow of an industry. It's one thing if you're some little indie type making your way in the background however when you sign up with these types you just know what they've done and they're not fucking innocent like they make themselves out to be. MeToo was a classic reveal of how many of these women who bitch about the patriarchy frequently surround themselves with corrupt and powerful men which is why they think the way they do about men. I bet they've never even noticed a working class guy even if they walked past them in the street because they're that stuck up, they've got that permanent body language about them.
That could just be my Yorkshire background talking though, we've kind of got an instinctive dislike for genuinely stuck up people and can sniff them out instantly lol but almost every feminist type I've seen or interacted with seems to come across that way.
I don't fucking blame any guy for doing that these days and I'm extremely wary myself. My major rule when hanging out with women is get the fuck out of there if they're drunk because they can make up any shit they like about you if you were alone in the room with them for even a second.
If you're a fan of her career, or what she used to look like, even in her last major public appearances (circa 2009), I would recommend never looking her up again.
It's like... Well, it's one of the most dramatic "downgrades" I've seen, lol. She looks and sounds pretty damn depressed. :-/
If you cry about it after you got paid, you're just encouraging future fearful victims to fight you instead of paying. Shearing a sheep vs skinning it and all that.
Composer safety league? Composing studios? Has professional music composition descended into such depths of mediocrity that it is no longer a mostly solitary pursuit? Have I been tricked and Mozart, Beethoven, Wagner etc all actually sat around in cubicles a la Office Space, belonging to "studios" so full of composers everyone needs a safety league?

Not like they can build careers off of being better at anything.
Reminds me of the race grifters whining all the winners of the BC orchestral composer music award were White men.
Every single step of the auditions is totally blind. They entirely won on merit.
The whiners were demanding race and sex quotas because they suck at composing good music.

...I mean, if the auditions weren't blind, then women would have won a lot more awards...
A safety league for female composers...so she represents both of them?
These 2 ladies deserve each other.

Pence rule. Enough said.
Tank your career overnight by saying we need to send billions to Ukraine and that the issues of Americans were none of your concern?
That might be the new one but it was "never meet a woman alone"

30 Pence has been on the road to perdition for a while but that rule was a pearl of wisdom from him
Early life delivers.

Oh... Anyway.
No wonder Bridget Fonda looks so... Bad, these days. :-/
Seriously, she looks... Well, most people don't age/let themselves go that much in a decade, let's go with that...
She's gone from like, a 9.5 to... Maybe a 2? It's a bit fucking sad, lol.

Lara Flynn Boyle and Yasmine Bleeth also both took massive nosedives in looks. They look unrecognisable.

What am I missing here?
