Legendary wrestler Rick Steiner Removed From Wrestlecon In Detroit after he was supposed to be given a 2nd chance on a zero-tolerance basis after making "transphobic" comments 3 months ago (archive.is)

When we allowed Rick Steiner to return to our Convention as a vendor guest of Tony Hunter Promotions, we did not adequately take into account the impact his past words from our last event still held in the LGBTQIA+ community. We initially allowed him to return because 1) We still feel that people deserve a second chance. 2) Rick did make an apology to all parties that chose to be present. 3) We lacked any type of code of conduct/harassment policy that clearly defined our expectations as a convention participant.

"We believe people deserve a second chance....unless trannies have really hurt fee-fees!" Translation: we don't believe in 2nd chances

So he literally didn't break any of your rules but you kicked him out anyways the last time, and he's being pre-crimed the 1st chance he'd have to break an actual policy despite the fact he already apologized??

They did a similar humiliation on Djokovik.

He was invited to play in Australia. On arrival, he was stripped of all his possessions and thrown in "quarantine" (jail). After the supposed quarantine period he was simply kicked out of the country again.

One of the most important tenets of religious Marxism is that there's absolutely no forgiveness possible, no matter what you do. Queer folks and their allies will hate Rick Steiner just as much 50 years from now as they do right now even if he immediately signed over his entire fortune to GLAAD and spent the rest of his life doing Truvada commercials.

It's true. Apologizing to them just indicates you are ready to be milked.

I'm generally for a private company inviting whoever they want, but this seems ripe for a lawsuit if he so desired, as not being able to attend is hurting his business. The event set up a "platform" for people to advertise themselves, but are now admitting they didn't have any kind of policy or rules banning that kind of behavior. They invited him, setting a business expectation, and then arbitrarily kicked him out.

They must figure the risk of lawsuit is better than being harassed by trannies.

Fake wrestling fans support fake women, go figure.

Imagine being such a shitty male athlete you can't even succeed at a fake sport...

And this "woman" is in Impact, a promotion most people think went out of business 10 yrs ago. It's often called "wrestling purgatory", their on-air authority figure is a guy famous for being a comedy wrestler with a unibrow who wore a snake sock puppet.

It really is crazy how left-coded being a wrestling fan became over the last decade. It's much worse than any other sport or sport-adjacent activity.

As usual with the corrupt media, they just say 'transphobic rant' - instead of actually telling people what he said. They don't want you to know, they just want you to listen to their name calling.

His transphobia was saying "you're a man" and "You're a dude". He said some other stuff to the tranny, but that was the only part to do with gender.

Wow. Steiner bros we’re great. I’m sure he said something mild like men can’t be women.

"She" was blocking his table and thus costing him money, he yelled at her to move and apparently called "her" a "piece of trash and filth" & said “you’re a man” & “you’re a dude”.

So basically an old guy lost his temper and yelled, seems something a "sorry" would more than easily handle things in a non-clown world.

If only wrestling fans in the 90s could see what a bunch of wet wipes the fans are today

I see them clearly, and its why I ain't watch a show since they were so pathetic they let a bunch of pandas force them to change their name.

They literally threw pennies & batteries at Goldust and called him a faggot- the latter was actually the intended response of the character.

Later on he became a fan favorite.

His brother (Big Poppa Pump) wouldn’t have apologized for shit. FATASSSSS.

Also, yes, modern wrestling fans are weeping gashes. No wonder the product sucks if it’s catering to them.

Scott Steiner is the GOAT, his abilities inside the ring were extraordinary and his promos were legendary.

Holla if you hear me!

Scott Steiner math is the only math I use- it also makes more sense than 2+2=5

FUN FACT: His nickname for a brief period in the late 90s was "White Thunder" until it was removed for having "racist overtones"

That’s kind of shocking, considering how edgy wrestling was in the late 90s. Hard to believe anything got axed for being offensive, considering we had Mae Young giving birth to a hand covered in placenta goo and Val Venis getting his dick nearly cut off by samurai sword-wielding Japanese dudes, but…maybe things were slightly less edgy in Atlanta?

WCW was FAR more restrictive than WWE, as they were owned by Time Warner and had to deal with standards & practices. They couldn't even say "ass" while WWE had Jemma Jameson.
