I know you are joking but I could honestly see that
Why would the Lion deny Himself?
Oh, I guess they'll just ignore The Magician's Nephew, I guess.
Goddamn, but I hate the idea of NigFlix getting anywhere near this franchise.
I hated when I heard that Netflix got the rights. Too bad the descendants of Lewis aren’t like Christopher Tolkien
Lewis had no children of his own. 2 adopted ones from his wife. Compared to tolkien who had many and happened to leave LOTR publishing to Christopher who faithfully kept it all these years. Tolkien had safeguards Lewis did not progeny wise. The one thing Lewis has going was how much he beat in the point that Aslan is Jesus which globohomo will need to work around whereas tolkien was notably anti allegory.
True. I didn’t see Christian symbolism in Tolkien until I read it as an adult. With Lewis it was obvious as an 8 year old.
How things will probably go: “We were looking through Wikis about this series and learned its all Christian allergy? Also it was just so white and straight. So we thought we could make it more inclusive by bringing in more Muslim, pagan, and LGBT elements.” Coming to Netflix this summer: The Ant, the Wiccan, and the Air Jordan Shoebox.
The lion.
My fellow felines.
Nah, this'll be Aslan, and the irony will be totally lost on them
I knew I’d get here too late to make this joke lol.
Allegory*
I know what I wrote.
The FAKE Air Jordan Shoebox
In The Last Battle, Narnia falls because Calormen is literally invited in to conquer them by pretenders falsely invoking the name of Aslan. Just something to think about.
I haven't even stopped puking since the last time I read about this. C'mon man
I’m sure they will respect Lewis as much as Tolkien. As a kid I fell in love with Narnia stories and as an adult I love his books like Mere Christianity and Screwtape Letters.
They will butcher his legacy.
They will butcher, but his legacy is secure in the lives he changes.
Amen to that
Greta Gerwig is the posterchild for female privilege in Hollywood.
She produces dogshit and gets any IP or project she wants.
This is really a major trend. I was shocked Duvernay was taken off that New Gods project
Kathleen fuckin’ Kennedy.
Trashes beloved franchise after beloved franchise and still allowed to have gainful employment.
Blaspheming intensifies
A/S/L/an has spoken.
Chronicles of Blackria: The Lady, The Buck, and the Husband in the Wardrobe.
They're gonna cast a panther to play Aslan.
The beavers will be Marxists.
The queen will be a misunderstood environmentalist.
Susan and Lucy will have to teach Peter how to be a hero.
Tumnus will be raging faggot.
Oh, and Edmund will be a closeted troon and/or white supremacist.
